Had dinner here during a business meeting not too long ago. Ended up in one of the dining rooms which had a great ambiance. Enjoyed their 4-course menu together with partnering wines. Great place for a more luxurious dinner without paying star prices. Food was delicious and it was a great experience with an eye for detail. Would love to go back with my better half some day.

It was busy and so without a reservation, we needed to sit inside (shame but our mistake for a popular place). Wonderful fish meal and yes the Tsatsiki is superb and garlicky. The 2 digestivs gratis were a lovely touch. The meals are very generous and so we shared a fish meal with an additional side serving of vegetables and it was more than enough

I discovered this place quite by accident--it was within walking distance of my hotel (An der Rennbahn, which I have reviewed elsewhere). It's a seafood restaurant, an excellent one, run by young Matthias Schwindt, who hails from Rügen in the North Sea. The menu is extensive but also includes smaller plates if you don't feel like a big meal. I ordered perch-pike, which came with some delicious vegetables and small potato pancakes. The service was friendly and unobtrusive; it isn't a fancy place at all, just "gemütlich"--friendly and comfortable. In good weather there is a garden with tables and umbrellas; otherwise you eat in a vault-like underground room that looks like a movie set for "Pirates of the Caribbean". Even if you stay in Dresden's town center, which many tourists do, you can easily reach this place on the 1 or 2 tram, which is in itself a fun experience.

we had dinner there twice and the pasta dishes where really delicious and perfectly prepared. Try the Tagliolini with truffle oil mixed in a big Parmesan cheese which they do not have on the menu card but make for customers if asked to do so. Unfortunately the service was not really good on both evenings. the home-made desserts are lovely.
