Breakfasts are very good---hash browns are exceptional. Lunch and dinner menu is the same; a bit limited but very good. Excellent sea bass, hamburgers, and salads. Limited but nice wine selection. All servers and hostess and bus boys were very attentive and professional. Shout out to Kyle, who did a great job. Terrific view complements a very nice experience.

Located where the surf meets the turf in sunny Del Mar, Searsucker is a nationally recognized social dining concept encouraging guests to come early, and stay late. Menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics for Weekend
I have to say that the short ribs are great. That being said, they come with mashed potatoes and that's all. The serving size was also on the smaller size. The oysters were fresh and well presented. The restaurant is large and was very busy the evening we went for dinner. It was also quite loud. There are lots of restaurants in the Del Mar area and I would try another one before returning to Searsucker.Dear Diner,I'm sorry to hear that the portion sizes were not to your expectations. We try to cater our portions and offerings to appease as many guests as possible in a general sense. I'd be more than happy to invite you back into the restaurant again to provide you with a larger portion, or an additional complimentary side dish of your choice. Being a larger restaurant we have the unique ability to accommodate you to a quieter part of the restaurant upon request. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to have you as guest again in the future.

Stopped in for an unscheduled lunch because of the location... right between the beach and the Del Mar Racetrack. We ordered a mimosa and I got the cheeseburger ($17), and my husband ordered the shrimp cocktail and salad. The food was serviceable. The cocktail sauce was ordinary, and the burger certainly wasnât worth the price tag. The service was slow even though we were there about 3pm on a Sunday. The best part was the view. We sat on the deck and enjoyed every minute of it. I hear the fish tacos are good. Weâll go back for that...and the views.

Located across from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Race Track, our third restaurant has been a San Diego North County favorite since it opened in 1981. This bustling restaurant encourages friendly and convivial dining, with the help of a comfortable oyster b
The second time that we have dined here - having on a Friday evening had the forethought to book ahead. Very good Seafood, well trained friendly staff. They have apparently re-vamped their sweet menus ...... which we just had to try. Really excellent!!Only slight concern is that we were seated in the middle of the restaurant on a busy night and the noise from other diners friendly chatter was deafening!

What a major disappointment. This restaurant is in trouble if the absentee owner does not step up soon. The food was good, the service was great, our waitress was amazing. However, the owner seems to cater to the loud, brash trailer park crowd. The entire dining room was disturbed by a group soloist we could not have a conversation, nor could any other table. There is no manager on site and the head waiter asked them to be quiet twice, they did not comply. They called the owner who was at his other restaurant nearby who said he would be over. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. The staff said there was nothing they could do. If the owner does not support his staff, nor care about his customers this place is not worth supporting. You get one chance to make a good impression and they blew it.

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch; however the service was deficient. Our waitress would say she was going to do something only to never be back with what was asked for. She was very impersonal. However the food was very good and we loved the outdoor seating area. Would definitely try again if back on Del Mar.

Brigantine is a popular place for locals but getting seated wasn't possible because the dining area much more limited in size than the bar area. So my teenage son and I got a high top in the bar. It was loud, we got banged into the whole time, service was sporatic and slow. His burger was quite good, my fish dish was not good. I think the experience in the dining portion must be better. I would consider returning for drinks/appetizers but not an overpriced dinner and a 4% surcharge to cover "increased costs" - what is that about? Have traveled extensively and never seen that before. Get your costs right and be done with it.

The Poseidon Restaurant in Del Mar embodies the Southern California lifestyle, blending the ambiance of the beach scene with a relaxed and informal dining atmosphere.
I have eaten here for dinner twice. Excellent service with a good attitude. Food was very tasty. 1st time I ordered off the menu the 2nd time we ordered the chef's specials. Both were excellent. The view is spectacular at sunset. I'm glad to see a place where the food & service quality are commensurate with the price and they are not trying to take advantage of tourists because of the view.

Ate here for lunch and enjoyed it tremendously. Request a window seat if possible for a spectacular view. Three of us decided on the Shrimp and Crab Salad with Green Goddess Dressing. Ample amount of crab and five large shrimp, delicious. Our fourth companion opted for the burger selection, about half a pound. He enjoyed it. The one drawback, the place is pricey, $120 for four at lunch is high.
