After eating seafood for most of our 3 day stay, it was nice to come to Chez Marinette and have some excellent roasted rack of lamb and rotisserie chicken. The Service was quick and attentive and the dessert was decadent. Everyone liked their meal.

We were visiting the beach area in Deauville and were getting hungry, but wanted more than an ice cream at the vendor near the beach. D3 was a short walk from beach, and had seating available, so we took a chance. There were four of us, and we were seated promptly, and had a glass of wine in short order. The assortment of meals we tried included a cheeseburger, salads, and fish and chips, (although I think they called the fish and chips something else). The food was ok, not gourmet obviously, but predictable, and just what we needed at the time. Perhaps at dinner it is a little more, but I can't review that.

Trouville's Casino was opened in 1912 after just 14 months of work. A real tribute to the wild evenings of the 19th century, the fine dining restaurant "Le 1912" was designed by MrJean-Philippe Nuel our interior architect to be a welcoming and an elegant
Like most restaurants that carry the prestige of a Michelin star, there is creative flair on the menu. We did not sample via degustation what the chef can create so I wont comment on that - I'm sure he is a superb chef. The restaurant is located within an Accor hotel in an odd corner with almost no views - well the balcony perhaps, but you have to stand up to see anything else. This is compounded by the fact that if you're staying at the Hotel (as most do) - its the breakfast room which means any ambience is lost.Given the hotel caters to international guests, I find the lack of English accommodated annoying. There is no English menu, simply a translation by the waiter - helpful but not what I'd expect. Yes I know there's the whole French/English thing but just get over it and move into the current century please! (This extends to the hotel too)We had Lamb and Sea Bass.. both excellently prepared and delightful in flavour, freshness and quality.. no exceptionsThe restaurant would benefit substantially from a relocation to something befitting the stature of the Star it carries, and would lend somewhat to the prices that can be charged accordinglyChère Jandkat,Je suis désolé de voir que notre service de traduction automatique NFC par Flashcode ne vous ait pas convaincu.

We selected Le Pavillon Augustine because of it's relaxed look. The diners looked happy and were tucking into their meals with great passion. This restaurant is away from the great collection of other Trouville restaurants, making it seem individual and calm. We had an excellent meal and I told the Patron so in my dodgy French. We faced the canal and it made our meal so relaxed with that "French holiday " feel. We noticed that one table had four smokers on it, but they were a good distance from us. Sitting near to them would have been a problem. This is a great restaurant. We would dine at Le Pavillon Augustine again.

Sur les celebres planches de Deauville, le Ciro's Barriere propose une cuisine ambitieuse qui met a l'honneur les produits de l'ocean.
Nearby cafes were already closed and I tried to get a quick drink here despite the higher prices but a waiter arrogantly said they were fully booked for the evening (although really only several tables were taken) and recommended to go elsewhere.

The market table, authentic cuisine with low fresh produce from our beautiful region.
As we wound down our stay in Trouville, we happened along this find. There is nice outdoor seating available along a small street off the main thoroughfare, Our seafood meal was delicious. The service was very attentive, however when the head waiter heard that our French was poor, he dismissed our poor waitress and took over the ordering. Felt sorry for the waitress.

The greeting is excellent, the service is excellent and the food is wonderful. This restaurant is family owned and run to a very high standard. Locals eat here so booking is essential. Not just a good choice menu but a special board depending on the catch of the day. We normally stay in Trouville three days and eat in this restaurant each evening.

Absolutely excellent, but I thought very expensive (others may not). I indulged in a whole small plastic container full of crab salad, delicious, then a handful of cooked prawns and small amount of smoked salmon washed down with a glass of Chateau Sancerre. The bill came to 25.44 euros, the crab salad being 12 euros. This has to be eaten outside, as this forms part of the Fish Market and the seats were a little too high for me. However, how memorable, and how French! The best place to people watch ever!

This place has amazing decorations and a lovely husband and wife team running it. I think her name was Natalie. We had not booked but were warmly welcomed. We were watched over by the lobsters in the tank awaiting their fate. The place has real history... We had a very good meal. My starter was soup de poisson followed by Scallops a la Normande. The latter was very rich and I could not finish it... Natalie told me off in a good-humoured way, in French, and said I was "not allowed" to have pudding! I had a Calvados instead... Not the cheapest of places but this is Trouville and the food was excellent. We would definitely return. Next time for lobster! Thanks a lot, we love our job and the Best, it's when the guest are like you, simply "adorables", we hope to see you again in our restaurant, with pleasure !!!!Nathalie
