We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews. The restaurant was very crowded, very noisy, we had to ask the waitress several times to lower the music volume. The seating is not really comfortable, meaning that for the price we paid, I would expect more.We were a large group so we did order quite a large part of the menu. As to the food, some members of our group liked their food and some were truly disappointed. Therefore my review is written with mixed feelings. Maybe one should not come over the weekend? I personally ate in better restaurants in Jerusalem for less.

The restaurant claims to execute âContemporary cookingâ but I cannot find that back in the menu. Carpaccio, sea brass etc are all cooked and served in the traditional way; no contemporary at all.Anyway, we came here after a Jewish holiday and consequently they ran out of a lot wine choices which was a pity. The food quality and presentation was okay, but we did not consider it as excellent or very good thus therefore the rating as ânormalâ. The family considered it as âokay bistro foodâ.

Very briefly, we arrived, we had to wait and we saw people arriving later without reservation passing in front of us. When complained about it, instead of giving us the last table wrongly assigned they made us wait again and propose to give a table for two when we were three. What the meaning of a person dedicated to handle the waiting list if then you canât do that properly? Fortunately itâs full of other good restaurants in the area able to manage their customers.Hello, and thank you for your review.Your critisism will be passed on to our waiting staff, and we will make all neccesary arrangments for this kind of thing to never happen again. We would very much like to invite you to try us again. plaese contact us via E-mail if you wish to have a better experience from us.

Shanty, a Jerusalem staple since 1992. We continue to serve delicious fresh food with a friendly, homey atmosphere
This restaurant was located next to our accommodation and in an area of almost exclusively kosher eateries, this one suited my OH who fancied some seafood. Our server was friendly and very apologetic when they got a request wrong but soon sorted it out. The food was tasty and well cooked.
