Things to do in Dagupan
We opted to have our lunch in Dagupan after our Manaog tour and we found this native restaurant erected in a fish pond. They serve usual Filipino cuisines plus the famous bangus Dagupan and other Pangasinan dishes. The place is designed very simply yet relaxing. You can enjoy your meal in an unhurried and breezy manner. The price is affordable. Glad we've stumbled upon this place.

This restaurant is strategically located along the highway which is both accessible between Lingayen and Dagupan. It has a fish pond vicinity and you can sit outside and enjoy the view. The food is not pricey and it is delicious. You can order frog if you like to try some exotic food.

We had a great time here. The restaurant is built over the water and features a main central eating area and private kubos. Payment on entry, so once you pay you dig in. There were about twenty dishes, seafood including crabs, squid, seaweed, tilapia two ways, shrimp, and of course as its dagupan, bangus. Four meat dishes including lechon baboy, four veg dishes, salad and deserts. Cola or ice tea pitchers to wash it down. Great value at 199 peso not including drinks. Stage in center for acoustic performances at 5he weekend

The staffs are very approachable and friendly. The food was served fast but the foods are average for me. They have ample parking space for the customers. It is really difficult to make conversation with others because of the live band.

We were a family of four who drove from Baguio and stopped by Matutina's for lunch. There's sufficient parking space with shade offered by some trees. We ordered sinigang na salmon belly (salmon belly stew), daing na bangus (fried dried milkfish), pork barbeque and sari-saring inihaw (grilled seafood with fresh veggies on the side), as well as a rice platter. We also ordered fresh buko (coconut) and ripe mango shake. It took about 20 minutes for them to serve it to us but it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered was delicious and excellently prepared. It was so good that we decided to order a second rice platter. My daughter loved the sinigang and my favorite was the grilled meat. The dried milkfish was a healthy option for our elderly aunt who accompanied us on our journey. We were all comfortably full at the end of the meal, and there were no leftovers! The restroom was clean, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, the servings were large and affordable, and the service was professional. Two thumbs up! Definitely world-class Filipino cuisine at its finest.

I've tried several of these by-the-water restaurants in my travels and many fall short of my expectations. However, I would say that this is a great seafood restaurant. The place looks inviting and the service is very good. Food is yummy and the sea food is really fresh. The night we were there, there was an acoustic band that provided entertainment (although we much have preferred to just talk while we dined).Parking is plenty but you need to have your own ride to get here. Another thing I like is that it doesn't smell fishy in the restaurant unlike some places near a body of water.Note: I still can't get the thought of the humongous catfish they served us out of my mind.
