This is a tiny restaurant, with fabulous seafood and fish. The first time we went, I had the langoustines with a sesame honey sauce. The langoustines were enormous, the presentation was beautiful and the food was amazing. My friend had salmon, and it was great too. Next time we went, we asked if we could have the sesame honey sauce on the salmon and were told "Of course!" The chef brought out the langoustines and corvina he was recommending that day, to show us. His wife greets guests, seats and serves them with a huge smile. On a Saturday night when people were lined up to get in, I suggested they should expand. Nope. They want to keep the restaurant small so they can personally cook and serve. "Like a family kitchen," I was told. This couple values the quality of their food and service over profits. They clearly love what they do, and they do it magnificently. Because there is not room for more than about 16 diners at any time, it's better to reserve. You can make a reservation through Facebook. They respond quickly to messages.

Great food, welcoming staff and a beautiful garden with humming birds. We were lucky enough to go twice to Corvel during our stay in Cuenca. Once with friends for a long Sunday lunch and prior to that on a gastronomic tour with Chef Patricio including a visit to their community herb farm and a cooking class at Corvel including a fabulous prawn quinotto (risotto with quinoa instead) and chicken cooked in cream and ground roasted pumpkin seeds) - delicious! The 45min trip to and from Paute is through scenic countryside and the little town itself is nice to walk around and is near the river. We hired a van and driver to take the 10 of us. Hang gliding for $50 offered nearby.

The restaurant is small with very uncomfortable wooden stools. Traffic noise is problematic and the exhaust fumes from the street are unappetizing. Definitely not a place to discuss business or carry on any semblance of conversation. The owner and waiters are friendly but an hour on the stools is torture.

We ate here tonight again, after returning from an art show opening. The food was excellent, as it always has been, and with reasonable prices.Very small restaurant on Calle Larga in Centro Cuenca. Of the 3 sushi places in town, this is easily our favorite.
