Reviews on Seafood food in Cortona, Province of Arezzo, Italy. Perhaps best known these days as the setting for the book and movie “Under the Tuscan Sun,” gorgeous hillside Cortona has a long history dating back even before its time as an important Etruscan center. Top attractions include the Duomo (Cathedral), the small Museo Diocesano across the piazza with its superb art collection, and the fascinating Museo dell'Accademia Etrusca with its assembly of Etruscan and Roman era items. Cortona is also bursting with splendid churches spanning many periods.

After reading the glowing endorsements of this Pizzeria, I passed by a number of other possible places to sample what I expected to be an epic local Pizza. It never transpired.Half cooked, dry and really anaemic with the scantiest of ingredients scattered sparsely about, the only good thing I can say is I am glad I got the Birra Moretti to bring some enjoyment into the experience. I can only assume the two 'excellent' reviews were either family or perhaps regular Pizza Hut refugees. Not to be recommended if you're looking for true Italian food. I took a photo which I would really like to post as well, but it seems I cannot, unfortunately.

Order the Florentina with the house red or a good Montepulciano! It's 1 Kg but it is not to be missed! If you're seafood/pasta hungry, the scoglio. The pizza and wines are fabulous and you'll avoid the crowds in Cortina at a tiny fraction of the price and with a parking lot in skipping distance.

Seven Ristorante is "creative, delicate" New Italian cuisine is served by "enthusiastic" staff who treat diners "like kings" at this "unique". Chef Nino demonstrates "real flair" at this "stylish, chic".
First off - food wise, it was alright. Nothing special. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately while we were there it was nigh in impossible to get any service as the waiter/owner was fawning over one table and ignoring everyone else in the place. This wasn't "laid back" Italian culture, it was just a clear case of one group getting special treatment to the exclusion of all others. I wouldn't go back and even though it was convenient I'd rather travel further

Great reputation for a good restaurant for meat lovers. Friendly staff, nice location, historic setting underground. Nicely laid out tables not crowded. Atmosphere lacked a buzz. Food was ok though I have had better steaks, better cooked locally. Couldnât eat the main course, took it home for the dogs, left and went to the gelateria for an ice cream. Wonât be revisiting soon.

We have walked the park or Parterre for the past six years and past this building beside the playground without paying much attention. Met a chap last night at Tuscher Bar and he suggested we try the new Japanese Restaurant in the park. Well today we did and had a truly enjoyable meal. We let Marco the waiter and part owner pick what we ate. I am not an Expert ofJapanese food but I truly enjoyed the entire lunch. The different dishes with salmon, shrimp, scallops, noodles etc were excellent and very nicely presented. The site at this time of year is ok but in spring, summer and early fall it would be beautiful. The building has been renovated ,and well done, and you have a great view of park and Val del Chiana. It opened July 6,2016 I think and is owned by Marco and Paulo who owns Tratoria Dardano, another great spot. This is a great addition to Cortona restaurant scene.

We had just spent a long day touring a couple of Tuscanyâs hilltop towns and it was now pouring rain - our Cortona innkeeper recommended this restaurant to us so we wouldnât have to deal with parking by the historic area and walking to a restaurant. Glad she did. We had a wonderful Sunday night Motherâs Day dinner. Restaurant was filled with locals - I believe we were the only âtouristsâ there. My wife had a unique and wonderful tiramisu dessert.

Bottega Baracchi is a real concept shop halfway between restaurant, wine bar and store, an innovative space that has as primary essence, excellence, in all its various forms. Small, subtle fragments capable of giving color to our journey. A lunch, a cockt
If youâre looking for something a little different in Cortona, would recommend giving this place a try. Service was very good and the menu has many seafood options. I had the coconut prawns which were very good. For a main course I had the wild boar ravioli which was very good. The sauce was tangy and each ravioli was stuffed with flavorful boar meat. Overall we had a good experience. Dear Roanie1969la Bottega team thank you for the nice words you share describing your culinary experience with us!thanks!we hope to welcome you againhave a lovely weekendkind regradsLina Bartelli

We took our bikes here for lunch from Villa di Piazzano. The owner, whose family has owned the estate for generations, was clearly born for hospitality. He turned his family farm into a hotel and restaurant and has done a wonderful job. The food and service were incredible, and aspire no doubt to the region's second Michelin star (the only one, as far as I know, is Il Falconiere). I think he'll get it with patience.
