We had a menu del dia here last week and sadly have not had such grumpy service in conil before. Food was good value but service crap - had to ask 3 times for water and then twice for a straw for my daughter and then I gave up and went inside to help myself. The place was less than half full so not sure why. Thanks for your opinion. We'll try do it better next time.

We visited here three times after walking on the beach - primarily because nowhere else was open. Our good fortune as we found the coffee to be excellent; tapas and rosado good; service friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking nearby. Quick service - used by lots of locals, usually a good recommendation

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch after coming off the lovely beach it overlooks. The restaurant is fairly smart but a tad dated but the service and ambiance were very friendly.We started with the Iberian ham which was of very good quality and had a fish Paella to share for our main- wasnt over generous with the fish or prawns but it tasted delicious! The price of the meal wasn't cheap but it was worth it for the location and quality of the food.

Had paella for 2xpersons came to 24 eur. Not 40 as previously stated by other visitors. Was made very welcome by Lorenzo and other staff. Plenty of nibbles as a cover. Fish croquettes were superb. Paella was magnificent. Topped off with a bottle of Muga. Fabulous views of beach and sunset. Simply brilliant. Thank you Lorenzo and all the staff. Don't miss this place.

Itâs a place you drive past frequently so you have to try it sooner or later. Today was the day. First of all the negative aspects: as it is on the road out of Conil to the main road, there is a LOT of traffic going by so eating outside is a problem. We wanted to but it was also a windy (Levante) day so we ate inside. There is a super fishy mural on the main wall so the decorators can be congratulated. Not so the architects. It is very noisy inside and the slightest noise seems to reverberate from the walls. We werenât many people eating inside: the addition of one or two noisy children would have forced us to eat outside. So, what was good? For a first course we shared some grilled octopus with âblack potatoesâ, coloured with octopus ink, I imagine. Quite nice but I prefer it slightly crisped and it should be a little more tender. Other restaurants do it better. The main course we shared was fried forkbeard ( brótola in Spanish). You wonât find this in many places. Itâs a fish of the hake and going on up, cod family. It lends itself to frying and we enjoyed it very much. To complete the review, the service was excellent. Not just bringing the goods to the table but telling us lots about them. Not sure i agree with all Nataliaâs opinions but she was an entertaining waitress. Do go and try El Bocinegro: it is a welcome addition to Conilâs culinary offerings. Hello. We shared a few plates here and weren't disappointed. While the tuna was a bit expensive, everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had, and puntillitos were lovely and soft. The waiter recommended a half portion of these as a full portion would be too much. The dessert was outstanding (chocolate and almond pudding) and the wine very reasonably priced. The sunset was lovely to watch, although would be more spectacular later in the year. It was nice and quiet being out of season so we didn't struggle to get a table.

I especially recommend visiting the restaurant for dinner. Once you will be able to observe one of the most stunning sunsets of your life. Also, remember to book your table in advance because the restaurant tends to get quite busy at dinner time. La Fontanilla, due to its location, serves primarily seafood and the quality is of the food is very good. Just be careful not to order the Dorada by weight cause the price can surprise you... We received a tiny portion of the fish and paid completely not appropriate amount for it. Other than that the dishes are priced very reasonable and I truly recommend it!

The place is elegant and quite charming in front of the sea, that's where the compliments end.Every single fish dish we order was tiny and totally bland. None of the fish dishes came up with salad or potatoes like it's customary in Spain. We were all hungry after dinner which is unacceptable for the prices they charge.The monkfish I had (see picture of the awful presentation) had only a couple of tiny edible pieces because the rest was all bone/cartilage that should not be served. I flatter myself as a fish expert and this was one of the worst restaurants to eat fish in Conil, frankly.The service was fine but they didn't like the criticism very much when they asked us...

Make sure you reserve a table if you want to sit on the front of the terrace to watch the sun set. Fish menu was outstanding, hard to choose but menu available in English, always a help. Staff efficient and helpful.
