"Tapas and More by brothers from Spain" Sangria 71 serves up a large selection of authentic Spanish Tapas, Sangria and savory Paella in a festive casual atmosphere.
This has been the first time for dining there, mainly because the fine Chinese restaurant next door was closed on Monday (Memorial Day). I have tried their first Paella, Paella Valenciana. It's OK but nothing particularly spectacular. I don't think it's worth its price of $26 ! The rice is a bit too salty and the entire dish is a bit like just barely cooking all the sea food together and saffron rice, without any peculiar flavor.
Where to eat American food in Commack: The Best Restaurants and Bars

I know this place has been here forever and my family would eat here at least 30 years ago. At 12:15 on a Wednesday afternoon the place was empty. I ordered crabcake platter which came with the worldâs smallest baked potatoâ-no butterâ- no sour cream plus overly sweet cole slaw. No bread. The best I can say is it was prepared quickly. A side order of New England chowder was likewise okay.
My husband, daughter and myself stopped by at 4:30 on a weekday two weeks ago, curious because we couldnât find any information on the new Commack restaurant at the time. It was having a soft opening and had a preliminary one page menu. That was fine with us, we ordered two pizzas. Yes I know in a town filled with excellent pizza we ordered pizza and we were glad we did. The pizza is thin and light and delicious. We ordered two for three people and it was just right. The place sports the new popular warehouse ceiling and floors. A full bar, high bar tables in front, regular seating in back. It has outside seating and windows that open to the outside. The staff was great and the drinks very good. We split one dessert, weâre not dessert people, and so happy we did. We had the recommended chocolate cake..it was a bit of heaven. The prices are what I know consider to be Commack average. The only problem I can foresee is noise. Like all high warehouse ceilings it will need hanging baskets to absorb the noise once the place gets filled. It will get filled it the perfect place to meet for a meal or a drink or just a great cup of coffee and dessert. Itâs handicap friendly but I donât think itâs the kind of place for young children, although if you when early enough do able. We missed the old CIO Baby and lamented itâs leaving but Prato 850 erases all of that longing. We canât wait to go back when they have their full menu..but I might go before just for the pizza.
