My husband and I decided to go here after seeing some of our acquaintances making post about it. We were HIGHLY impressed. From the time we walked in until we left, we felt welcomed. The hostess was pleasant and the atmosphere was small yet charming. Our server was very nice and the food was AMAZING! We both had platters which consisted of fried and grilled seafood. The oysters were great. The grilled Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly. The house salads come with a homemade citrus vinaigrette that was really good. Great Happy Hour specials as well. We both look forward to going back.

This restaurant is a Columbus icon with a tradition of great seafood and service. We visited on a Wednesday evening at 6 PM. Unfortunately, our experience showed management has lost their former passion. Both male and female bathrooms were dirty and had paper strewn about the floor. Shady characters flanked the half full parking lot. We were greeted with a nod and quickly seated in a half-empty dining room. My wife had the whole catfish and I had clam chowder and fried oysters. The clam chowder was out of a Campbellâs soup can (we saw the can). Our baked potatoes were charred black on the outside and both entrees were served cold on cold plates. The owner spent his time sitting at a friendâs table for 35 minutes while both waitresses and kitchen staff sat, following his example. No check-back from the waitress or cashier on our experience. Iâm sad to see a disinterested owner in a formerly great restaurant!

This was an enjoyable meal off the beaten path. Well worth the time. The hushpuppies could have been a meal by itself. But we also included catfish, calabash shrimp, sweet potato fries and the sweet cole slaw. The server was so sweet. Next time I am traveling through Columbus, will definitely stop here again.

My wife and I stopped and had dinner at the Bonefish Grill on a recent trip. The service was friendly, fast and professional. The food was outstanding. We both ordered salmon and it was served perfectly cooked. I recommend this restaurant for those desiring a great meal at a reasonable price.

Cafe Le Rue, The only Authentic Cajun Restaurant in Columbus, Georgia. We are conveniently located in The Landing's on Airport Thruway. Right next to The Sample Shop and opposite Apple bee's. We have a diverse menu which will cater to a wide audience! Yet
After reading many reviews and loving Cajun food we decided to give a try. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! This is some of the best Cajun food that I have ever had outside of New Orleans itself! Itâs a nice looking cozy restaurant...holds maybe 30-40 people. I tried the Cajun combo($16) The 3 items that I picked were the Jambalaya, the shrimp and sausage grits and the red beans and rice with sausage. They were all so delicious that I honestly couldnât pick a favorite of the 3! Each one was in a small bowl, and the flavor and heat level was just right! If youâre someone that thinks black pepper is too hot for, you then should probably order a burger or something! LOL! Itâs not âtoo hotâ for me or my wife...perfectly seasoned in my opinion. My wife had the shrimp and crayfish etoufee ($13)which she absolutely loved and I sampled it a few times and it was perfect! Donât leave without trying the pineapple upside down cake with vanilla bean ice cream! The cake is served warm and it is beyond delicious! It really is to die for!Melt in your mouth decadence! We also had the beignets! Yea, two deserts is a lot, but itâs so worth it! Served hot and crispy and sinfully good! The next time that we visit Columbus we will of course visit Cafe LeRue again! Give it a try! You canât lose! Love this place!

Inspired by southern hospitality and fresh creative southern cuisine. We are laid back yet refined. Pull up a chair and stay a while!
The place has it all: location (on water, downtown, easy parking); ambiance (large but intimate sqare space beautifully designed); food (I had the pork chop and heirlo0om tomato salad which were excellent); drinks (try the smoked old fashined!); service (friendly but not cloying. The husband and wife owners are on site and make sure it runs like a top, Owner Mike actually came by to say hello.
