Alley Cat Oyster Bar

So I think we had really high expectations for this place, but we were underwhelmed. The shrimp I had were very good- peal and eat. Drinks were OK, beer was not cold at all and my wife's oyster's were not good at all. She eats a lot of oysters and these were gritty and there were chunks of shells in them. Not what she is used to. Pretty spendy place for sub-par seafood.

The service and the food were wonderful. We could not ask for a better meal in Cleveland then we had at Don's. It was luck of the draw. I saw them on Open table, and we liked their menu. Headed over there a bit later than our usual time for dinner, we had just driven in from Cincinnati. It was perfect. Next time in Cleveland, we will stop back in for another meal

We stopped here for dinner while walking around the Warehouse District. We started off with an order of stuffed mushrooms which were good. Next we ordered the chicken & sausage casserole which we split. It was good but we were somewhat disappointed as it was lacking the right amount of spices. Would try something differed from their menu next time.I am not sure what the chicken and sausage casserole is unless it was a special order modification of the Paella perhaps? If that is the case I think I remember you all as you say right by the bar. First let me say thank you so much for joining us and how nice it was to meet you and have you join our little family. Second I want to apologize that you didn’t love your food. I will talk to the chef about what we can do when the paella is modified to make it a little more to your liking. I think it may be better to use both dark and white mean to get more of the flavors of the chicken i to the rice. Thank you so much for your feedback. Your comments make us better. I can’t wait to see you next time. Thanks so much. Laurie o

The Hyde Park was an easy walk through the pleasant down town streets of Cleveland from our Hotel. The service was outstanding, quickly greeted by our server with a friendly welcome. The server guided us through the menu and offered suggestions. We both had filets which arrived cooked to our desired temperature. A tasty surprise was the balsamic dressing served on their wedge salad. This is an upscale restaurant with great food and service.

I enjoyed an incredibly wonderful dinner here from start to finish. First, the menu is full of tempting, fabulous options. I started with a salad with sautéed wild mushrooms...a huge serving and simply delicious. Went on to the bouillabaisse...another generous portion, lots of fresh fish and seafood, expertly prepared. Finished with a spectacular chocolate dessert...perfect. Also enjoyed a few seasonal pear cocktails along the way. The bread was great, the service was excellent, and the restaurant is lovely. A fantastic experience all the way around.

Visited here for the first time the first weekend in September. The food and service was top notch. My brother and I took out 14 year old daughters for their birthday. We started with oysters, a salad and a couple kinds of shelled crab legs. For entrees the girls both got the filet and shared some whipped potatoes. I have the poke tuna and my brother had the diver scallops. This place is awesome. Closed on Sundays and highly recommend reservations.

My wife, son and I had dinner here last night (my son’s recommendation). My first time here. Located in the heart of the Tremont neighborhood in Cleveland Ohio (Jefferson and Professor), we started our dinner with an order of hush puppies, which were very good. Our dinners consisted of my wife’s Crawfish Etouffe, my son’s Jambalaya, and my Seafood Gumbo. All three dishes were shared, and they were all delicious. My gumbo was the least spicy of the three dishes, where the Jambalaya was the most spicy of the three main dishes. For dessert, we ordered beignets and bourbon sauce bread pudding. The beignets were a little stiff, unlike those found in New Orleans. My bread pudding, with the bourbon sauce, was the star of the show. We all enjoyed it to the point that it was gone very quickly. A truly enjoyable dining experience. The staff is great and took very good care of us. The establishment is beautiful with two beautiful floors of tables. I would recommend BSBR to anyone visiting Tremont.
