Amazing view over the entrance to the Bay of Cienfuegos. Lobster, Crab, Shrimps and filleted snapper available and all good - fresh daily.Off the beaten track, not so far from the nuclear power station that never got finished. Close to the Castillo that has been renovated and for 2CUC entrance is a great deal.Ask for Felix - he can fix you up with a boat trip to Cayo to Carenas.

We were here last week for lunch. We werent very hungry so we shared one meal of shrimps in garlic that included rice with vegetables, fried bananas and salad for 6 Cuc. Those were the best and freshest shrimps we had during our two weeks in cuba. The rice with cooked vegetables was also very tasty - a hidden gem.

My husband and I are vegetarians and really struggled with menus in Cuba. This was an exception. We had a great meal. The chick pea dish was spiced well. We really enjoyed our meal here.

The view is amazing. We were taken by our guide for the lunch buffet. They ran out of food. People were piling their plates with the shrimp and chicken and they kept running out. It was very crowded and noisy.

This may have been the best meal we had in Cuba and, as residents of Tampa, we are very familiar with Cuban food. The lunches were very good, but we totally spoiled our appetites on the huge platter of newly cooked plantain chips we were served. Heaven! The service was very good and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere.

The orient is truely a picture of beauty. None more spectacular then this edifice that defies belief. The interior is totally lavish with inlaid woodwork, intricate carvings and stained glass windows that are framed by exotic wooden carvings. Its gobsmacking beautiful. Its lucky that these days the images captured by an army of visitors are relatively silent, compared with the days when shutterbug clicks would reverberate around the property. We came to ogle and to lunch, priorities which must be satisfied. Whole fish was my request sent three days ahead of our visit. It arrived in royal triumph. A silver platter bore the princely pesce oozing a wonderful fresh ocean essence. My daughter went for lobster with mustard and fresh mayo. Unsurpassed triumph. Sated by our bonanza we traipsed up the ornate staircase past columns of marble and intricate decorations to the perch, from which we were afforded another breathtaking vista. An unbroken sweep of Cienfuegos and beyond. The balcony overlooks the briny, in an unfettered sparkle of blue with the sky above offering counterpoint with wispy clouds. Not a place to miss. I could spend a number of weeks here. In fact i will. This time with a boat to ferry me around beautiful Cuba.

Taking as a reference the pride that we feel the cienfuegueros to own the emblematic and distinctive Paseo del Prado, we opened the doors of our modest restaurant in the No. 4626 of that street the 4 of February of 2011. The uniformity and rectilinear lin
Recommended by Ivan, our host in the casa where we are staying. We had already eaten but popped in for a quick drink on the way home, which turned into a few drinks! The rooftop terrace is a great place to spend an evening, there is however a more formal dining set up on the downstairs floors. The cocktails were excellent and really well priced. The service was friendly and professional. We saw some of the food when it was served to a neighbouring table and it looked excellent. If we were staying in Cienfuegos another night we would definitely dine here.

The restaurant and the atmosphere is very welcoming with a nice view. Our server Yanuel (Castillo) was amazing. He was very attentive, professional making our time spent there, delightful. The food was very well grilled and quite tasty. We liked the creativity in the courses that we chose. Lynda and Eduardo from Miami

A charming place with great view of the water. Perfect to relax and enjoy amazing Cuban and International food. At night, beautiful lighting of the dock. From a snack to a delicious lobster tail meal, you can enjoy the atmosphere and the food.
Punta Gorda is the slightly posh seaside holiday destination in Cienfuegos. I have heard it described as the Cuban equivalent of Sandbanks in the UK, but it is on a smaller, prettier more Cuban scale. This restaurant is in the perfect location very close to the end of the point, jutting out over the sea. Watching crabs and fish swim by the coloured lights after dinner added to the fun of the evening, especially when a fish jumped out at our feet! The food is beautifully prepared and very decoratively presented with garnishes. Portions are very large. All the dishes my family ate at dinner were delicious. Breakfast was also lovely and very nicely presented. This is Cuba though, so some ingredients can be unavailable.
