Pelican's Roost is our go-to place for good seafood at reasonable prices. Hubby is especially fond of their shrimp alfredo and their chowder in bread bowls. I usually order the bay shrimp salad, although I treat myself to the occasional fried seafood dish with green salad or sometimes with fries. Between us we've tried many of the dishes on their menu. We're both especially fond of their cod-and-chips offerings.Last month I ordered their shrimp tacos. Yum! They were so delicious that I came back the next week and had the fish tacos. Equally good! The cole slaw is some of the best I've had in a restaurant and the house-baked French bread is a superb addition to every entree. Although I've heard of people having bad experiences with servers, all the people here have always been pleasant, efficient, and friendly to us. In Chico and in the mood for some good seafood at modest prices? I can recommend Pelican's Roost.

Haven't been here for some time, but wow... had orders to go. I had ordered fish which was to have a sauce on it. They said they would put it on the side so I could use what I want when I was going to eat it, but once at our hotel, No sauce.... food was okay. Husband had a steak that had so much fat that we didn't even take it home for our dogs....oh well...hit or missHi, Liz V. I had 1/2 pound of shrimp and regular fries. The fries are piping hot, thin, and crispy - perfect! Took me awhile to figure out that you remove the shrimp head first, then the rest of the shell. You can add potatoes, corn, sausage to the seafood mixture. I definitely recommend doing that. Great place to eat!

More than great food! Unwined Kitchen and Bar locally owned since 2015. We started life with a small menu of wine-friendly foods and have matured into a full restaurant serving California-inspired handcrafted food, drink and specialty entrees. We have dem
Had Brunch yesterday here and have probably not received this level of service in many moons. Our food was above average and there was plenty of it. From Eggs Benedict to Candied Bacon sandwiches everything was tasty and well plated. Modern loft style atmosphere was fun and trendy. The best part of the day was Alex. I was so impressed with his service I even remember his name! Simply put he made us feel pampered.

Our waitress was top notch sociable, efficient, and a contributor to our fine experience at this restaurant. Eating out is not to satiate hunger--it is to enjoy atmosphere, ambiance and finally, some good food. The Two Twenty fits the bill. Underpinned by fine and warm service, the food met all of our expectations.

While I am not in Chico often, when I visit, I always hit The Sicilian Cafe and it NEVER disappoints!! Fantastic wine list, excellent local bread, the best... I mean BEST fried calamari Iâve had in the world... perfectly cooked salmon, simple delicious fettuccini with garlic and parsley.. almost smoky, and a delicious cannoli! Crusty shell, amazing filling done right (not too sweet, Italiano vero). Grazie mille Sicilian Cafe!
