I went driving to fin a place to see the ufc figth, and seem ok , has ac in the interior, the beer is not that over priced, friendly staff, food not eat
After a visit to Bacalar we stopped here for dinner. The restaurant is just outside Chetumal and offers good meals at reasonable prices (as where restaurants in Chetumal are far too expensive). The owner is very helpful and speaks a bit of English. The drinks are served in huge glasses but are priced the same as smaller glasses we got served everywhere else in Yucatan. Try the fish fillet with garlic, it tastes as good as it smells. Although there is no breakfast mentioned on the menu, you can request for it and it is possible. All with a friendly smile. The restaurant is open from 10am till 7pm and offers parking space on their own ground. We can highly recommend.

This was our first stop after our 3 hour drive from Belize, so we were refreshed by the waterfront setting and the nice breeze. We had an excellent waiter who was happy to explain all the different sauce options for the fish and shrimp. The margaritas were excellent !!! All of our lunch choices were very good - stuffed fish, garlic shrimp and grilled fish. The bill for the 4 of us was quite reasonable and the portions very generous.

Just north of Chetumal is a lovely waterfront village named Calderitas. Along the waterfront probably 15-18 restaurants. Tortugas is one of them. With a wonderful view of the water and people enjoying the sand surf & sun you can enjoy a wonderful meal, reasonably priced and with friendly service. Tortugas also offers Wifi access, which is really nice!! The staff is very attentive and some of the waiters speak a bit of English, but I tell them I need to practice my Spanish. The offer a Kabob that is almost a meal for 2. Most of the dishes are large portions! It's one of my favorite places to take folks that are visiting or just in the area shopping for the day.

Found it on Foursquare and several other sites, all the others are Spanish sites.
This place is a must! You will not be disappointed! We decided on this restaurant because of how many locals were eating here and thankfully that hunch was right! The seafood & meat paella was the best we've ever had! The ceviche is clearly very popular and after seeing so many people ordering we wanted to try it too. It was great. We also had a shrimp kabob and that was very tasty too. After traveling for the past 2 weeks from Cancun to here, we've had a lot of bad and just OK meals. But not this restaurant, it's the best one yet! If you go on a weekend, order the paella, the price is a steal and you can share a medium between 2 or 3 people.

Restaurant specializing in seafood with all the flavor of the mexican Caribbean and signature cuisine with bar service and live music, open tuesday to sunday from 11am to 7pm, located in Avenue Francisco I Madero corner Avenue Bugambilias in Chetumal,Q. Ro
My husband lived 2 blocks from this location as a boy. It was not always a restaurant. This now has a great local atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Chetumal bay. The best marisco soup you can buy. They have fresh red snapper deep fried whole it was delicious also. There is a large variety of beer also. They are open in the afternoons. We enjoyed our seating in front of the bay. The parking is only in front of the restaurant but it seems to be enough. The wait staff was very helpful and quick. They served chips and salsa as a starter. The ceviche was a great starter with the guacamole. We will return.

We went there this evening after finding Almina had positive reviews on TripAdvisor. It was really fabulous and very cheap. I had Oriental noodles which had a lovely flavour (the âIndian nutsâ turned out to be cashews) and my husband had the tuna tostadas (a cold dish with avocados and tuna). This came to £15 (including a bottle of beer , a bottle of water and a 15% tip which we included). The waiter was good too. Definitely recommend!!

a very popular restaurant, also and mainly with locals. open until 6PM - for lunch or an early dinner. we shared a plate of 12 oysters, then had a seafood risotto and a seafood spaghetti. all was really fine. no wine, but plenty of beer. a great place, if you like seafood and local life.
