You would never stumble across this restaurant as it is buried in the hills above Acqui, but it's worth tracking it down. Family run restaurant, with passion. Pizza's are so light and fresh you can nearly eat two! There's a challenge :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the house wine and the venue. It looked like some of the tables were regulars, which is always a good sign. We had delicious raw fassone meat, great ravioli and roast, and an absolutely outstanding pork fillet with mustard. That's why it's such a shame that when time for dessert arrived and we were so excited, we had to wait about half an hour just to be able to order it. I believe they usually have a second person serving at the tables, and the only gentleman who was on duty that night (I'm guessing the owner) was running around the whole time, and doing a great job until some tables got up to pay and interrupted the flow. I could see other patrons also had to wait quite a while for their drinks or something else. When the dessert got there it was also delicious, however the wait had spoiled the magic a bit. Restaurant does not look fancy from the outside. On the inside it is just a regular, decent Italian restaurant with nice photos on the wall. And...they serve superb food. We had a very good pizza and fresh gnocchi. House wine was good. Prices are still reasonable. Staff are friendly and hard working and speak a bit English. Menu is in Italian, English and German. Don't be put off by the street the restaurant is in. Very recommendable.

This is a top restaurant. We were advised by the local winery shop and what a great advice this was. The starter, the main course, the dessert, the wine the coffee, the grappa... all was excellent. Absolute must do when in town. The only negative point ( not of their doing of course) was that we were all alone in the restaurant ( 4 of us). It was the end of the season and in the middle of the week.

Quite challenging to find this place, but at the end extremely please for the location, the tranquility within the city center and the friendliness of the dedicated and passionate restaurant owners. This restaurant offer a range of local fresh products and a fantastic wine list with specialties from the close Piedmont region. We recommend to order Risotto or Pasta with fresh truffles, a real delicacy.

Trovato per caso questo ristorante sui social che proponeva serate a tema , abbiamo deciso di provare il menù pesce. Location molto bella, in una villa del settecento, tre sale con affreschi ai soffitti, in centro paese vicino al castello, con comodo posteggio. Personale giovane e gentile.Il menù fisso comprendeva tre antipasti di pesce, linguine allo scoglio, fritto misto, dolce, acqua e vino caffè, il tutto a ⬠30,00. Tutto molto buono, tanto che abbiamo deciso di tornare per la serata spagnola: tre antipasti, paella, sangria, crema catalana acqua caffe sempre euro 30,00. Questa volta però siamo rimasti delusi, poichè gli antipasti erano veramente miseri, la paella non era un gran che...non era nè un risotto ai frutti di mare, nè un risotto allo zafferano e verdure...peccato veramente poichè la serata pesce è stata veramente ottimaâ¦.Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo per serata pesce, elevato per la serata spagnola.

Cena a base di pesce a menù fisso... io locale è un po' spartano. Gli antipasti dignitosi: cozze fredde, pescatrice buona e totani mediocri. Secondi: grigliata e fritto misto mediocri. Dolce: pannacotta sufficiente. Vino bianco bevibile ma niente di eccezionale. 32,5⬠a testa... e per la ricevuta dobbiamo aspettare 10 minuti perché il titolare non c'è momentaneamente... mi spiace ma non ci siamo... non ci tornerò...

la location squallida e banale non e' il grosso problema di questo locale,ho sempre privilegiato i contenuti all'estetica....e' il cibo che e' cucinato malissimo....tralasciando i quattro antipasti normali che ho assaggiato con il primo e il secondo penso si sia toccato il fondo...risotto ai frutti di mare:riso bollito e scondito tipo ospedale con insieme una quantità industriale di cozze(avanzo di uno degli antipasti)e qualche pezzetto gommoso di seppia,di vongole o crostacei neanche l'ombra e per nulla amalgamato e mantecato...grigliata di pesce:tutta bruciacchiata...immangiabile e nella cottura e nei contenuti...il trancio di salmone dal sapore fangoso....termino dicendo che in vita mia mai ho mangiato cosi male......
