Participated at a âDégustation privéeâ at Rhônalia / Restaurant La Maison Rouge.Highly recommend to try the restaurant and perhaps organise a private wine tasting evening. The menu included a delicious âTartare de thonâ, a delicate âTarate dâavocat à la mangueâ, an excellent âRisotto aux boletsâ, and much more. The same goes for the excellent wine selection: from white to red, from different regions in France and a highlight from the Valais â the Syrah from Christophe Abbet. Each wine presented with passion, humour and enthusiasm.

Homard & Boeuf
I had arranged this as a birthday treat for my partner who loves seafood. As you can guess from the name, lobster features highly, and my partner chose the pasta filled with lobster. It was very tasty and well-presented and cooked. The restaurant was busy but we were not rushed. We were quickly sat, as I had made a reservation. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. We had a relaxed meal and everything was fine.

Enjoyed a lovely evening in this excellent Spanish restaurant. We started our meal with an excellent glass of champagne. As an appetizer we ordered pimientos and pulpo a la Gallega. Both were excellent! I really liked the simplicity of those dishes which really let the ingredients shine. As a main course we ordered the paella El Faro with a bottle of Albillo, a Spanish white wine. The waiter showed us (very quickly: if you blinked, you missed it) the paella in a big black pan and after that put our meal on a plate. The dish was a real treat and the portion was huge. The rice was cooked to perfection and richly filled with chicken, fish and shellfish.Staff was very attentive, but sometimes a little bit too eager to please. They came by numerous time to check if everything was in order and to pour us our wine, even if we still hadn't finished our champagne, to the point we started to suspect they wanted us to eat and drink a bit faster.I would definitely come back though, to try some of the other lovely dishes on the menu.

Despite being from a Nordic Country then I didnât find it particular Nordic. All the food came from the local area and sounded good but had no taste. The wine card only had names of the producers but not of the grapes so we ended up ordering a bottle of wine that we disliked so much that we didnât finish it, and that has never happened before. The service was good.Dear perh281,We are sorry to read that your experience was not to your entire satisfaction. We would love to learn more from your experience to improve us. You can contact me directly. Thank you.

The first portugues restaurant in Switzerland since 1973 with the same family. All days fresh fish ans seafood but we also have meat. We are the first Portuguese restaurant in the world to have been recognized by the gide Gault and Millau and the Michelin
This restaurant, very close to Plainpalais in Geneva, is probably the best Portuguese restaurant in town. Fishes, clams and octopus are its specialty along with a varied selection of Portuguese wines. The place is run by a family who have been running it since 1973 and the focus is on really fresh fish.It is usually not noisy, the tables are not crowded together as in many Geneva restaurants and one can have a good conversation while eating.Lots of parking is available either at the Plainpalais or Unimail parkings which are close. The prices are a little high but the quality of the food, the friendly and attentive service and the decor makes it worth the price.
