You must make a point of eating here while you are in Tobago! This is excellent cuisine at a price much more affordable than nearby competitors. This is a small restaurant and you must make a reservation to eat here. They are not opened at night on Mondays and Tuesdays but do serve lunch.Chezelle and her mother opened the restaurant about 5 years ago and Kerry is a recent addition. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and asked about making a reservation. Unfortunately there was nothing available prior to our leaving Tobaga but Kerry said, "Can you come tonight at 7pm? and Do you like Shrimp?" We thought they were fully booked for the evening and were fitting us in. It turns out they had not planned on being open but stayed open just for the 2 of us.Kerry cooked a Shrimp Pasta dish for us. Mine was in a tomato sauce with roasted tomatoes and my husband's was in an Alfredo sauce. The dish was Chef Worthy and the flavors were delicious! Kerry told us that he had flambeed the 16 (8 each) Jumbo Shrimp using rum as well!! When we finished dinner and realized that we were the only people in the restaurant, we thought we should leave so that the owners could go on and enjoy Sunday School down the road. They asked us to stay and visit a while - my husband had the homemade ice cream for dessert and I had another glass of wine. This place is meticulous! There is an interestingly lit waterfall that creates a lovely ambiance for your dining experience. Be sure to go here! You will love it.We are extremely pleased that you had a fabulous time. Looking forward to welcoming you in the near future. Team Cafe Down Low

I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal.We were at an outside garden seating and I was being attacked by insects and the owner was kind enough to provide insect repellent. Did not deter me at all.Not a rushed atmosphere, just cool vibes. Good meal and we had local beer.Free dessert from the chef who came and check on us. My son who is 6 really enjoyed his meal and the big sofa type chair in lounge area of the restaurant.I liked the ambiance, cool breeze and music and also the smile from the owner Everytime she came to our table. The price of our meal was comparable to that in the US.

Fabulous beach side dining with fresh seafood, premium ingredients, an awesome wine & cocktail list, and great personal and attentive service.
I had the pleasure of having dinner at this restaurant recently with my family. The food was great, portions we're quite large, drinks were on point, and desserts were lovely. Service was attentive, quick and friendly. Ambiance was beautiful, you can hear waves crashing on the shore. A few tips: definitely make reservations, the restaurant fills up around 7pm; if you have children, the tables have lit candles so be careful, also the ladies room does not have a baby changing area, high chairs for kids are available upon request. Be aware of the climate of Tobago, being tropical and humid: the restaurant has a lovely outdoor dining space and open verandah but with the weather, it may be humid. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would visit again.

We ate at The Fish Pot twice during our stay on the island and both times the food was great. The fresh fish was cooked beautifully and accompanied by some lovely sides. The staff were lovely and overall would 100% recommend going here for dinner!

We had 2 surf and turfs , garlic shrimp and calamari to start and 2 gin and tonics $858Quite expensive for location but food quality was good. Not as great as some of the reviews though given the price. The steak was tender not chewy. The decor was very dated but the main chef took your order and made the food to your liking.Would return there despite the loud blaring music from the locals competing with each other...

We found Honeys on Trip Advisor, and although it is a bit off the beaten tourist track, it is well worth finding! The owners, Cyrus and Nancy, are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent - as well as being the most reasonably priced restaurant that we visited on Tobago. As well as the regular menu, they also offer a range of 'platters' which are big enough for 2 people, and having tried the Pork Platter on our first visit, we can confirm that they certainly are! We enjoyed Honeys so much that we returned for a second visit and tried the shrimp in creamy garlic sauce and the pork ribs - again, both were excellent.Nancy also makes a very fine rum punch amongst a splendid range of cocktails!Recommended..Thank you Pepper [and Mark] for your review. We were very happy to have you at Honeys. As for the pricing we try very hard to keep prices reasonable while at the same time maintain a high quality product. Hope to see you on your next visit to Tobago.

My family and I celebrated a special anniversary dinner at this restaurant! We had a great experience, from the complimentary specialty cheese and olive oil from Italy to the tasty dinner and yummy dessert! We tried 3 different desserts and all were excellent and home made! The owner was very personable and created a warm, inviting atmosphere! We thoroughly enjoy having dinner at this authentic Italian restaurant on our visits to Tobago!

This is a lovely little restaurant overlooking the water. We ate here for dinner and watched a couple of local fishermen in their boats while the sun set over the Caribbean Sea. It was beautiful and picturesque. When you come here everyone recommends the lobster - for good reason. The lobster is amazing! Itâs freshly grilled in a light butter sauce and cooked to perfection. I had a mid sized lobster which is heaps for one person. For starters my husband had the garlic bread and I ordered the prawn cocktail. Rather than baguettes, the garlic bread is several toasted buns lathered with garlic butter. They were very tasty. The prawn cocktail is also slightly unconventional as itâs coleslaw topped with pan fried shrimp in a lovely sauce. My husband loved these. For main, my husband had fish and chips. The fish is fried in a coating of seasoned breadcrumbs rather than a traditional wet batter. We also had a serve of wedges which was a substantial portion and very tasty. For dessert I finished off with a coconut ice cream which was made by the owners auntie. It was delicious!Service is great and the lovely owner who is originally from Shepherdâs Bush, London is both personable and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is tiny, with rustic charm and only has four or five tables.Overall it was well priced with the total bill coming to around 500 TTD (@ £60) which is amazing value for two starters, two mains including a good sized lobster and dessert. There are several things worth noting when you eat here:1. The restaurant only opens if someone books a day in advance. We werenât aware of this and tried to eat there two days running before we finally worked it out.2. The restaurant does not serve alcohol so if you would like an alcoholic drink with your meal you can bring your own. A small shop across the street sells wine, beer and spirits if needed but does not have a wide selection and is only open until about 5pm.3. The restaurant is open air and so there are lots of mosquitoes. The lovely owner lights lots of mosquito coils/ candles and has mosquito repellent if you need it - but forewarned is forearmed.4. This is a cash only restaurant so please make sure you bring enough local currency as cards are not accepted.Overall I thought this restaurant was one of the highlights of our visit to Tobago. Not only does it have a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea but it has some of the best (if not the best) lobster that iâve tasted. Definitely worth a visit!

We had an amazing meal last night at Makara. I definitely recommend the fish of the day - mine was blackened barracuda and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The coconut curry sauce was the perfect pairing. I went all in for coconut and ordered the coconut ice cream for dessert. Real cream and real coconut - seriously delicious.

Have been going here for reviews. Have recently invested money and improved the ambience inside. Add mist sprays which are amazing in the hot weather! New chef is very good and food was excellent. Lovely friendly staff too. Beautiful setting on the beach. Great choice of cocktails too.
