The 20 minute from Budoni town is well worth it to enjoy the stunning location of this beachside restaurant. There is a great choice of starters / pasta / pizza mains .We really enjoyed the scallops gratin followed by the fillet steak in peppercorn sauce. We also enjoyed half a litre of the House white which was enjoyable too.I would recommend a visit!!!

The restaurant is quite nice and clean, with the opportunity to eat on a terrace. Unfortunately I had an unlucky evening at "La Volpe" as we had a misunderstanding related to our orders with the waiter. This can happen but in my opinion a restaurant must serve the food in order to let the guests eating at the same time, it's a must. Unfortunately it did not happen this evening, maybe the mistake, maybe too much stress on the waiter, not sure. However it is not possible to prepare first a pizza than another dish which is taking more time to cook and pretend to have your guests being served at the same time. How can you let someone watching the partner eating for half hour, come on...The food is average, not bad but really nothing special, the fish at least was fresh. I sincerely hope the foreigner tourists which are rating 5 stars this pizza will have a bit longer trip in our amazing country to enjoy a "buona pizza" and feel the difference. Good restaurants are another thing, a lot to learn for the owners and the waiters.

One of the few places I can recommend in Budoni that gives you a good quality meal at reasonable prices. We ate here often as the menu was very good, especially the fish (spigola, calamari, etc) fresh quality and the staff were very happy to please, even if they didnt understand my english and forgave me my bad Italian!Pizza is only served from 7pm (as nearly all restaurants in Budoni) and in my opinion were the best anywhere in Budoni and at a better price than anywhere else in town. Most places on the main street served less quality food at higher prices and higher copperto charges, which was very annoying. Il Terramare forewent charging our 3yo copperto which was a welcome positive surprise as well as accomodating her with a plate and cutlery even though we only ordered 2 main meals. This family owned restaurant off the main street wins my vote for best allround value, quality and service in Budoni! We wont hesitate to come back here for our next Sardinian adventure!

Went her twice in one week because our the hotel manager recommended us not to eat pizza in San Teodoro. He was right about this restaurant being good. The pizza's are big, cheap and hand made with fresh ingredients. Since we ate here twice we also tried pasta for starters and a some grilled meat as a main dish. Man oh man, it was great. Everything was surprisingly good, even the man serving us. If you stay in or around Budoni, be sure to make a visit here. They won multiple awards and you will know why once you eat here.

The restaurant part is cosy hidden off the main street and there is a local IPA beerey but that is about all there is. We had 4 different courses of which one one made it "ok". The pizza had not been long enough in the even and appeared like a micro wave pizza. The filetto was not a delicate taste. Green neans served cold.Fish made it Ok. All in all it appeared like farmers kitchen but not "fine food".No English,French or German menu (except for some translation made by guests) available and staff doesn't speak anything but Italian.

Had a wonderful early dinner here. Hadn't booked and was lucky to get a table as most of the tables had reserved signs on them, so essential to book.Hubby had oysters and an assortment of other shellfish, kids had pizza and ravioli. But star of the show was my veggie pasta dish. Don't recall the name of the dish but it was the traditional large pasta pillows which were filled with cheese but on this occasion were served with a rich Gorgonzola sauce, heaven! By far my fave dish all holiday. The kids had the tiramisu for desserts.Service was impeccable. Our waiter who I presume was the head waiter had fantastic English having lived in the U.K. for 4 years.

Night out from resort to visit the town - unfortunately market now finished but we had a terrific meal at Mama's on their terrace - the canopy decorated by bunches of dried pasta!! Service a bit lackaday - given a nice table (having reserved from hitel reception) but we had to ask for a menu after 5 minutes staring into space . Then we also had to ask for a wine list. We ordered food wine a& water and were served a basket of bread (though 2.50 euros per cover left my eyes watering slightly) then left to it for 10 minutes. Then the "mussel and clam sop" arrived which was a marvellous moules mariniere Italian tomato sauce style and not really soup at all..delicious though - and the waiter brought a paper apron to protect my shirt - very useful. Mozzarella and tomato salad also good.Pizzas next - huge and authentic with grea base and toppings - we couldn't finish them. The chilli oil was requested came tiely but was not very lively - a pity as we would expect a good bite to chilli oil in Italy. Our recommended wine was fabulous Sardinian Red - Eminas which is a Sardinian Grenache - deep, dry and full of flavour.

we found the restaurant il giardinetto on our second evening in budini. the restaurantis furnished very nice and the atmoshere was quiet and relaxed. the staff was very friendly and well trained and the the young man served us professional during our dinner there.we choosed icecold beer, antipasti and ordered one pizza napoli and one pizza capriciosa, the side order was frash mixed salad. everthing was prepared with fresh ingrediants and tasted very well. also the dishes we could see on the neighbour tables looked great and very tasty. the grappa at least was also good.the price for the dinner was okay and the quality was good.we can recomment the restaurant il giardinetto very much. we had a good dinner in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Its a very good restaurant with fantastic view, classic and smart with high attention to details. The staff is nice but... not enough!! And for that reasons the service is very slow... even more than an hour to get the food.Nice dishes, good food... little expensive... but we have to pay the location!Good anyway!

We went here for dinner. I had pasta pomodoro and my boyfriend had the lamb. We got a table for two outside with a view. I loved it! My food was very tasty, my boyfriend thouht his food was a bit boring. But the staff was so friendly, even though they really didn't speak too much english. When we arrived we asked if it was possible to get a taxi back to town, as we realized on our way there that it really wasn't walking distance... When ready to go our waiter walked us out and drove us back to town in his private car (!!!). Hopefully he was happy with the tip.
