Reviews on Seafood food in Bucerias, Nayarit, Mexico. Meaning “place of divers,” Bucerias on Mexico’s Pacific Coast is a charming antidote to the hustle and bustle of nearby Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet the friendly locals and enjoy beautiful beaches, fantastic dining, outdoor activities and art galleries. Locals congregate in the small plaza in the center of town or head for the beach for some sun and unfettered mountain and bay views. Beyond the beaches of Bucerias, you’ll find superb dining, flea markets laden with special treasures, art galleries, and pubs. Once you’ve tired of the sun, meander through the flea market off the main plaza and tour the residential side of Bucerias, complete with boutique shopping and quality restaurants like La Quinta di Francesco and Adriatico. Some of the best art galleries in town include Splurge Art Gallery, showcasing emerging local artists and designer pewter. On Thursday evenings, participate in the local art walk, and on Sundays, visit the authentic Mexican market. From Bucerias, explore other Riviera Nayarit locations such as Savulita, Punta Mita and San Francisco – they’re all accessible by cheap, frequent bus service.

We tried Karenâs on our first night in town. The prices are outrageous considering what else you can get in town for way less. Food was fine, nothing amazing, same with service. The kicker for me was the tip added to the bill without being told. We visited only once.

Great little beachside restaurant featuring gourmet dishes. We returned to Adautoâs again this trip to Nuevo Vallarta ... wouldnât miss it. Service was spectacular and food was all delicious. Our daughter ordered chicken fajitas and our grandson devoured a lobster. My wife and I shared the plentiful mango pork chop ... plenty for two unless you have a ravenous appetite. We started with the excellent guacamole. The my wife had the tortilla soup and I went for the Caesar salad ... both great. Cocktails are also prepare with perfection. Overall, a terrific dinner while enjoying a beautiful sunset.

Own a condo in Bucerias and eat out whenever we are staying. Have tried this restaurant once before. Thought we would give it another try. Margs were sub average. Ordered fajitas and chile rellenos. Very disappointed. Presentation was terrible. One of the chile relleno had no cheese in it. Fajitas came luke warm on a plate - no sizzling platter. Service was horrid. Bigger table came in and we never saw our server again. Called someone else over to get our bill. Said we were very unhappy with food and service. Bill was dropped off with no explanation. Will never eat there again. We always leave recommendations for guests that stay in our condo...this restaurant will not be recommended.

We visited Dugarel to celebrate our twin granddaughters at our family get together. My daughter made the reservation and the restaurant the table prepared to accommodate our party of 13. The waiter welcomed us, explained the menu specials and drinks for the kids and adults. One of my son in law has severe allergies to peanuts and nuts in general and the waiter and cook explained how he prepares the food without any of the nuts to assure us of proper preparation. Our food selection ranged from lobster, steak, pasta, chicken and of course a sea food platter that had a rich selection of sea food. All well prepared. The drinks for adults was of gigantic proportion, luckily we used a taxi van back and forth. A duo of musicians usually arrive at the restaurant and they gladly played the birthday song for the twins and other selections. We had a great time celebrating the birthdays, the singing, the beach view and the staff were magnificent. Will continue to visit Dugarel when we visit Mexico.

The best traditional Fish and Chips in town! Fish and Shrimp tacos and more.. Come and try it!
This is by far my favourite restaurant when coming to Bucerias. The food is consistantly awesome! I always order the fish burger because it's sooooo sloppy and tasty and the massive size onion rings are on steroids! The staff are fun.. the service always excellent. We went with friends.. bought beer for the cooks in the back, gave them hugs and thanked them for an always awesome meal. Next time we are in Bucerias again.. we will be back!!

La Negra is a small tropical refuge with restaurant and a bar operated by a young crew who are always worry to make our visitors live a nice experience. Fresh fruit cocktails made with the finest raicilla and mezcal, more than 40 different mexican and imp
It was a Tuesday evening and many places were closed, so we paid Héctor and his staff a visit. The bar did not stock cosmopolitan ingredients, so I tried the Berry Good cocktail. Very fresh, not overly sweet and quite tasty. I will have it again. Our meals were exactly what we wanted. Burger was cooked to perfection and my veggie pizza fit the bill. We really enjoy the ambiance here, totally laid back, and very pleasant staff.During low season, La Negra serves only dinner, so check on Facebook or call for specific hours of operation.

Culi's has become our go-to place when we want something "fancy" in Bucerias. The quality and service is always so good. Ezekiel was fantastic as usual, sharing information about Mexican wine. Brought another couple and their kids with us this time. Perhaps we'd talked it up too much, but I don't think our friends liked it quite as much as we did. I'd say overall, it was about 4.5 stars. I had the ribeye, which straddled the line of well-marbled/too fatty. It was prepared perfectly though. My wife had the filet, which she very much enjoyed. Two special shout outs: first for the bar adding Campari, per my wife's December request and the staff for helping us celebrate our friends' anniversary. Looking forward to returning in December.

Armando's lives up to the hype! When you visit you'll be greeted by Armando himself and then he'll be cooking your meal. He recommended the swordfish that both my husband and father had and thoroughly enjoyed. My husband remarked that in all of his years eating swordfish he didn't realize how overcooked most of it is - this fish was cooked perfectly. Do not leave without the basil lemonade drinks with tequila - they would be enough on their own to bring us back to this gem.

Mar y Sol Restaurant -Bar , opened to the public on February 1, 1993 , was founded by Miguel Castrejon and his father Don Jose Luis Castrejon ; who was the one who chose the name of the restaurant and thanks to these elements (the Sun and the Sea ) , to a
Stopped there for lunch today. Had no reservation but was seated promptly. Sits right on the beach. You can sit inside or outside. Staff was great and efficient. I ordered the coconut Shrimp and it was terrific. 5 very large shrimp breaded with a coconut based covering served with grilled vegetables. I would certainly recommend.
