I stopped here just 10 minutes before closing time. Despite my late arrival i was warming greeted by the hostess. I proceeded to the bar and the bartender was friendly as well. I ordered Fried Shrimp n home made stewed tomatoes. The bread rolls were delicious like they came freshly made out of oven. Bartender recommended strongly fried shrimp with homemade stewed tomatoes. Both were delicious n cooked perfectly. I highly recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Although the service and wait time was good, being that they do not take reservations. The food was lack luster and misleading. I paid $21 for a crab cake Eggs Benedict, but instead received a crab cake on top of hard fried egg, not a poached egg in sight. Now the fried egg was good it was no eggs benedict and I paid a premium for an eggs benedict. My companion ordered her meal al la Carte: French toast, which consisted of one strawberry cut in half and one slice of soggy toast, eggs that she couldn’t even eat because they were bad, and bacon that was only good thing going for her. We chose not to complain since one of their house rules on the menu is no substitutions and another rule 9 to be exact states “if we prepare your selected item to our menu specifications, we will not remove that item from your bill. Our entrees are not samples.” So, very disappointing, misleading, and expensive. And if you want eggs benedict this is not the location for you, until they learn how to actually make an eggs benedict.

No matter where I go for seafood, and I travel a lot, I always have fried oysters. It's part of my southern upbringing. Well, these guys made me the best ones I've ever had this weekend. The breading was not greasy, not too think, and almost like a tempura. The oysters were so fresh - we even had some steamed! I'm excited to get to go back there next month when I'm in the area again.

Firstly I am aware that “lousy” (very poor or bad) is spelled without an “e”. I have chosen to spell it with an “e” to make a point: louse means contemptible or unpleasant person.I chose this spelling to express my feelings for the employees who attempted to “spoil or ruin” my dining experience at the restaurant. When we called to ask if there was a “wait time” (to be seated), we were told by the guy on the phone “about 15 minutes”. We arrived about 25 minutes later. We called again, just to see if the time had changed. He says, “ it’s gonna be an hour, maybe even two hours”. Apparently, he was trying to discourage us. Little did he know we were parking outside. We walk inside and there are several vacant tables. We didn’t appreciate his dishonesty, but we were really excited about trying east coast crabs so we grab a table and begin looking at the menu.We get in line to place our order. We’re informed , “we only have 2 pounds of crabs left and you have to buy a whole pound”What? It’s 7pm! You’re a “Crabhouse”! As much as we wanted to try the crabs, we were not gonna pay $65 for crabs that we have never tasted? What if they’re not good? We’re disappointed, but decided to try something else off the menu. I ordered a crab cake, fish n chips, crab balls hush puppies and a drink. The food arrived without delay. As she handed me my fish, I asked her for tartar sauce. Immediately, she shouldn’t “we’re out of tartar sauce”. I respond, I’m gonna have to request a refund for the fish. (I’m from Texas. I don’t eat fish without tartar sauce)Miraculously, she gives me two containers of tartar sauce and says, “these are the last two”. At this point, I’m asking myself, “are there any honest people working at this place?” Why do I ask this? Because I’m looking at a compact cooler sitting on the counter FULL of tartar sauce. I even asked the guy for another one.Anyway, the crab cake and crab balls were pretty good. The hush puppies were extremely mushy on the inside as if they were undercooked. The fish n chips were okay. The fountain drink was great! **Probably because it was “self-serve.**—Won’t be back to this area until later this year.—Won’t be back to Fat Boy’s Crab Shack, EVER.

There is always a wait and it's not very organized. The food wasn't appetizing to me and I probably won't be back...I gave it 2 tries at both locations!
