A huge rambling place with a lively atmosphere, decent enough food, prices and service. Standard fare - pasta, salads, fish and chips etc. We'd just walked the gorgeous coastal path from Bondi and the sculptures exhibition so lunchtime food - and beer! - most welcome! You could do a lot worse.

Whilst there is some good fish cookery to be experienced, here, overall the whole experience was lacking consistency and polish.The oysters were obviously being shucked by someone inexperienced as they took an eternity to arrive and once they arrived, there was grit and broken shell galore.The taramasalata was more like cream with a touch of cod roe. Pretty uninspiring.The scallops were ok, but kitchen trickery is going on where they slice one scallop into three to make it go further. The service was initially attentive, but then it quickly dropped off a quick and we had to almost shout to get noticed by someone.Not entirely convinced I would return here. The food and service is not up to the standards demanded by the price charged.

Now located right behind the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club, very close to the northern end of Bondi Beach, this is a good place for freshly prepared seafood in a good variety of styles. I liked the grilled octopus. Reasonably priced, a clear recommendation.

No trip to Bondi beach is complete without the iconic Deep Fried Mars Bar that seems to symbolize Bondi itself - hot yummy gooey centre nicely encapsulated in a crunchy capsule, like a hot summers day at the beach with bathers and surfers alike wrapped up in a beautiful backdrop.Last visited 10 years ago and am amazed that nothing has changed about the shop, and Iâm so Glad for it. I could still make my way back for the shop by instinct!This is still the perfect reward for the Coogee-Bondi walk.

We went to Bondi Beach just to visit this restaurant. The views are amazing, we could have watched the Surfers for hours. The food was gorgeous although not much choice for myself as a vegetarian. The cocktails were lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly. It was cold & raining when we went so didnât go for a walk on the beach but it was definitely worth the trip.

Another return visit for us to Catalina, for a special occasion. Warmly greeted on arrival by staff, with our wait staff being attentive but not intrusive. Main meals of Beef tenderloin accompanied by greens were expertly prepared and tasted delicious. Good choice of wine. Delightful lunch. Too full for dessert this time. The views are dazzling. Great visit long weekend with friends. Views of the beach, people watching, nice relaxing music from local DJ, friendly staff and awesome food. Went with fish tacos, prawns and squid for entree. Beer battered fish and chips for main were large portion but delicious. Great cocktail selection and wine list. We attended at Moxhe, without a reservation; on a Friday evening. The cheerful staff member accommodated us with a great table. The food was more than delicious. We started with an amuse bouche and then by sharing three different flavours of Sydney rock oysters, then mussels smoked on a bed of lucerne, then squid in a ink jus, with freekah and cucumber, and prawn tortellini. For main we shared sea bream, with pipis, cockles or vongole (depending on where you hail from) and green vegetables. Topped off with banana gelato and chocolate entremet for the dessert lovers. The menu is based around whatever chef has bought at the dayâs market. Not a cheap restaurant but very worthwhile for delicious fresh, carefully considered food.
