We had dinner at the restaurant and overall the food was ok but nothing amazing. I actually ordered the pasta with clams and my dish was full of sand. The clams had obviously not been washed properly... The swordfish tartare for starter was good though. Shame about the clams! The staff was very lovely.

We love this place, and we have never been disappointed after many years that we go there everytime we are in Bonassola. The food is delicious and genuinely home made, the portions are generous, the prices are honest, the service nice and the small garden is very pleasant.Recommended in any aspect.

Loved the octopus and potato starter. Gnocchi with lobster main course was very good, but we were a bit disappointed by the amount of lobster (plenty of shell, not enough meat). Ravioli levantese was also pretty good. House wine was pretty good and the service was excellent.

Our BnB hostess recommended this restaurant, and she was right. We really enjoyed it. Very good food, plenty to eat, and our waitress was delightful. Everything we ordered was delicious. It's a good thing we had a reservation. A large tour group came in just as we finished our main course, so there were no tables left.

I went to this tiny restaurant with my mother in September after cycling through the railway tunnels along the riviera (You can rent the bikes at this restaurant for very cheap). As we came back we instinctively decided to stay over for dinner, even though the place was empty and we did not really know anything about it.BEST DECISION EVER!L'Agave was the culinary highlight of the whole holiday. Totally unexpected. Beautiful tiny restaurant with simple decor and stunning view on the porticciolo. They have a great list of wines. I let the owner pick a glass of white wine for me, and it blew my mind, it had a great perfume and was just perfectly paired with our meal.So here is the thing, the main dishes we ordered are actually pretty mainstream and easy dishes of Italian cuisine. But l'Agave gives it a new twist, with clearly fully flavored and quality ingredients, and by playing around with cooking methods and herbs. I had a fritto misto, I mean that is fried fish, we always expect kind of the same. But this was just beyond. It tasted real, healthy and light, the portion was generous and the presentation was also nice. They add rosemary to it which makes it special. A new experience! My mom ordered grilled octopus. Again, easy recipe. But it was just perfect. She usually does not love fish or seafood and eats pretty fast. I swear I never saw her tasting her food so intently! Food was accompanied with fresh bread and focaccia. We decided to order dessert too, and were mindblown! We had a saffron sweet cream which was just a perfect balance of texture, spice, and sweetness. We also had a cake dipped into milk, condensed milk and dulce de leche which was tender and tasted amazing! Like, remember how milk and cookies made you feel as a kid? That!Topped it off with coffee and a bottle of water, we were ready for a crazy bill.Barely 50 euros in total, for two people. I mean drinks, mains, desserts, wine, coffee + amazing bread/focaccia and lovely service. If you have been in the area you know this is a very good price, and the quality is higher than anything else we tried in those days! What can I say, go!!!

Osteria Antica Guetta offers wonderful food and service in a beautiful setting overlooking the Ligurian Sea. We dined here for lunch with another couple in late May before the start of their High Season. We had the restaurant practically to ourselves and were provided excellent personal service by one of the restaurantâs three managers. The manager who waited upon us had worked at the restaurant for 15 years, spoke excellent English and made several excellent dining suggestions for us. The restaurant is a converted family home which is quite old. The interior is intimate, imaginative and unique (photos attached). The ceiling of the main dining room is partially made of timbers salvaged from local shipwrecks (photo attached). Our server recommended a local white wine, Albarola, which was quite good. Among the dishes we ordered were Beef Filet with Potatoes; Cuddle Fish with Shaved Celery and Squid Ink; Grilled Swordfish with Sautéed Basil Leaves and Fennel; and Seafood Pasta with Mussels, Octopus and Tomato (photos attached). The dishes were all beautifully presented and served with great pride. Everything was excellent and tasted wonderful. A very small nit, one member of our party would have liked a little less salt on their pasta, otherwise, every bite was a culinary joy. Several other remarkable notes, we enjoyed the low-key jazz music played in the background, the bathrooms were spotless and the women in our party were compelled to remark that all of the waiters were extremely handsome. Finally, we wish to respond directly to a recent review(?) entitled âHorrible Food and Service.â Our experience completely contradicts this review and our own extremely positive review is based upon over 140 dining experiences in over 75 cities in Western Europe, North America and Central America. Our bottom line, if you are looking for a great meal and excellent service in a wonderful setting overlooking the sea, this restaurant is clearly worth a try. We were walking around Levanto looking for somewhere to have dinner, everywhere we tried was full. We looked in the door and saw people getting up to go from gattabriga. It was a sign! So we went in and had the best meal weâd had in our entire trip to Italy. Everything we chose was excellent and tasty and the local wine was delicious. We will go back because food that good is worth the trip. Bellissimo!

This is a small restaurant, in which we serve home made fresh food, from fish to meat, fresh made pasta and home made bread. We serve a huge variety of vines, and we try to preserve quality of prime materia, which is healthy. Water is included, as coffe,
Grilled octopus was tasteless and bland but everything else was really very good indeed. Outstanding were the fillet steak in gorgonzola sauce, and the grilled red prawns; an exceptional Gavi wine from a small producer was a perfect accompaniment. We loved the biscuits with dessert wine so much that we ordered a second helping. Service from Tazio was ebullient and friendly. Recommended, even though it is slightly more expensive than the competition.
