Had lunch here, ordered oysters to start and the tacos for our main. The best tacos were the ahi Tuna with asian slaw and the lobster salad with house slaw. The garlic shrimp were a little underwhelming as there was really no discernible garlic flavor and a little too much mayo. The tacos were served with flour tortillas, however, when I asked for corn, they were very happy to oblige.

Overlook the best ocean and sunset views on Block Island, all while dining on beach BBQ, sandwiches and salads, fresh fish, and craft cocktails...The Surf is your summer kitchen and oceanfront porch.
The view from the outdoor deck is the major draw, unobstructed views of the harbor. It is an easy walking distance from where the ferry leaves you off. I found the lunch menu to be very limited and difficult to find something for myself beyond a burger. Menu was also a little odd- fried egg sandwich for lunch? But not many other sandwich offerings other than fish. The $12 for a glass of " house" wine was steep. Service was extremely slow for it not being busy on a weekday at 3 pm., to the point of being annoying. Not sure I would return.....We'd like to start off by saying that we do hope you'll give us another tryâwe're sure we offer something that will suit your tastes. With a young, seasonal staff, we are doing all that we can to ensure that they are upholding the level of service taught during training, however, we can understand your disappointment with slower service. We do appreciate your honest review and again, we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back.

The Mohegan Cafe & Brewery is a staple on Block Island and the island's only brewery. We offer an array of pub fare as well as steak, seafood and pasta. We are open for lunch & dinner 7 days a week in season (April -Late October) Gorgeous ocean views in a
The Chowder Cup was DELICIOUS as well as the pizzette. Others were happy with steak and cheese, tuna tacos and lobster roll. Most waitresses here are from Europe because Block Island doesn't have a large population to draw from. Go before July 4 to miss all the crowds coming to Block Island. Ferry is 1 hour from Galilee RI and lands right in town. Nice place to bring bikes.

Arrived for an early dinner just before Dorian hit. Needless to say getting a seat with a great view was easy. The menu has a wide variety of selections with a great sampling of sushi. We went for a sashimi appetizer that was excellent. Main courses were terrific and the view was excellent. Always a good choice when we are out in September

Bellied up to the bar for a first hand view of the waves from Dorian. Lots of locals in attendance and a terrific bartender. Watching the waves hit the beach was terrific entertainment. Appetizers and meal were spot on. Good selection of beers on tap.

An absolutely delicious meal at Eliâs, a small, relaxing restaurant with excellent food and attentive staff. The pan seared scallops were terrific. The service was perfect. If you are on Block Island, Eliâs is worth a visit. Highly recommended. No reservations.

We visited Winfieldâs for a tete-a-tete dinner and it did not disappoint. The seared scallops with apple beurre blanc were delicious. The roasted cod main course was also excellent, surrounded by small potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus in a mustard cream sauce. An excellent and refined meal. We shall return.

My friend and I stopped here as our last stop before catching the ferry back and since this was ranked #1 on TripAdvisor, we stopped in. We came at about 5:15pm. We were seated, and after about 10 minutes of sitting there reviewing the menu, no one came out to help us. A nearby waitress came over and asked if we had been helped. We said no and she said "Oh I think there was confusion over whose table this is." Then about 5 min later our waitress came out looking flustered. We ordered light meals, and honestly I've had better food elsewhere. The bread they brought to the table seemed freshly baked, so that was a plus. We didn't see any options for mixed drinks - just beer and wine. Overall, it was mediocre and probably won't be coming back next time.
