This a beautiful spot close to Lake Erie with lovely water viewing while drinking cocktails/wine on the upstairs outside deck. Ideal spot except for wires making it a somewhat obstructed view. Too bad food isn’t served up there because not only lovely but quiet. Downstairs in the main eating area it’s a bit noisy and although windows with seats next to them, the view wasn’t quite the same, especially since they kept moving the shades to protect those who didn’t want the sun in their eyes, despite offering sunglasses for those patrons. We just wore our sunglasses because how often is that view available on a sunny Buffalo evening? The food was good, the seafood very fresh and tasty, sauces good, but the biggest drawback to this place is that the pasta is made elsewhere, and definitely stale compared to fresh house made pasta and risotto. And you really notice the flavorless stale pasta That really disappointed the four of us especially since early that week and the following night we ate fresh house-made pasta in two different terrific Buffalo restaurants. We also ordered the huge bruschetta plate and we did eat that all down. Pricy but decent.

"Lunch with the girls", was a real treat at Hoak's! Always love a meal near the water and this proved to be excellent. I chose the large Roast Beef sandwich, which was very tender and served with fries, Cole slaw or potato salad. Yum. Their Deep fried Buffalo Chicken sandwich is HUGE !! It was also served with a choice of a side. I'll definitely go back to try that one. Their Fish fries are also great. If your looking for a casual place on the lake with good food be sure to try Hoak's.

Red Lobster

My husband and I go to this Red Lobster frequently because I love Walt's favorite shrimp. I'm going to combine 2 trips into 1 review this time. We stopped here on 8/17/18 and on 12/23/18. We were seated quickly in a booth both visits as requested. Our server on 8/17/18 was Paige W and on 12/23/18 our server was Jennifer S. I must say that every time we come to this Red Lobster all the servers we've had have been friendly and have provided excellent service. There is a large parking area with handicap spaces. On 8/17/18 I ordered-what else-Walt's favorite shrimp. I chose broccoli for my side. For the choice between soup or salad I went for the house salad with the champagne vinaigrette dressing. I also asked for and received extra cocktail sauce and lemon. My husband also ordered his usual-the broiled flounder with the broccoli and the house salad but with French dressing. Coffee was hot and strong but not bitter. Those divine cheese biscuits arrived before our salads. Whoever Walt is I just love his shrimp and happy to see it still on the menu! My husband enjoys his flounder as it's always been cooked just the right amount of time. Cost without tip was $38.15The next visit of 12/23/18 we did deviate a bit. My husband knew we would be having lots of food Xmas Eve so he opted for just soup and salad. House salad with French dressing and lobster bisque soup. He said the soup was very good. He was expecting the soup to have some bits of lobster but all the ingredients were pureed together. I am a creature of habit and I just love those shrimp so much. However, I got the Walt's favorite shrimp as a side. This meant I got 6 shrimp instead of the 12 with the dinner choice. I can do 9 shrimp but then I end up giving my husband 3. He's not into the shrimp like I am. I also got a house side salad with my favorite champagne vinaigrette dressing. And those biscuits!!! We both got tea instead of our usual coffee. This was a light dinner but very tasty and just the right amount of food for us seniors! Cost without tip was $25.49. I can only hope that Walt's favorite shrimp stays on the menu because what would I do without it???!! I've had fried shrimp at home and at other restaurants but for me Red Lobster's Walt's is my favorite shrimp. We're so glad you had a great experience at our Buffalo Red Lobster!

Hardworking group making a go of the restaurant business. Cod not my choice of fish but it was a huge piece of fish for the Friday Fish Fry. Comment at our table the Lunker was "amazing'. One person in our party who we know is all about impression verse taste commented on the Clam Chowder saying it was "amazing"..too soupy for myself and others like ours New England thick and lots of clam chowder this soup was neither. Service was OUTSTANDING, from the time we entered to the time we left. I do hope this place makes it they definitely have the right idea. Upgrade your fish, charge a dollar more but at least try it. The most important thing you can do to keep customers coming my back..CLEAN THOSE BATHROOM AND PUT PAPER TOWELS IN BOTH BATHROOMS. They were disgusting..Give this place a try, if the bathrooms are filthy like they were when we were there I would leave. Bathrooms tell you a lot about cleanliness and some say "how clean the kitchen is"...yikes!!!
