I was looking forward to dropping by this seafood stall influenced by the other reviewers, but I shouldn't have bothered. The two ladies were miserable and most unfriendly. Quality of seafood I have seen better. Put it this way if in Margate again, I'll go elsewhere. Plenty other seafood coasts and stalls about.I didn't even get a smile or a goodbye when I greeted them off. Really!

We were blown away at how good the Prawn PoâBoy was! Such a unique combination that worked! It was a large portion as well. My husband got the scallop PoâBoy and said it was really good as well. Highly recommend this little seaside place! Craving it now!

On hols in Birchington over the bank holiday.Looked at the reviews and popped out to Alberto's for fish and chips.Assured that fish cooked fish and ready in 5minutes.25 mins later 3 meals obtained.To be honest if we hadn't been so hungry I don't think any of us would have eaten it!80% batter and 20% fish.The walleys were soft as well.Will try the Minnis next time.Very disappointed .

Invited to dinner by friends to eat here often. Lived in Margate all my life, never knew this place was here. Restaurant very small but roomy enough to not be imposing with a great atmosphere and good music. Menu appeared dependant on catch available that day. Food was fresh and delicious and very well presented. Will certainly return to try other dishes but not too often - only criticism is that everything was expensive. If slightly cheaper Iâd be eating here more often.

Went for an evening meal , while on holiday in Margate . Restaurant was very quiet but still managed to feel atmospheric. Food was great/ good selection of seafood , meat and vegan. Service was friendly and still professional . We had a great evening !!!

The food and wine at Angelaâs were magnificent. The venue is beautiful and the service was impeccable. With one exception; we were visiting from London and it was made clear to us by the waitress at the start that âLondoners are ruining Margateâ. Other staff members could hide their disdain but, as we left, we overheard them all complaining about people from London occupying Margate. A shame, as we have nothing but respect for Margate and are delighted to bring our custom here, including spending over £150 on dinner. Otherwise, a truly excellent restaurant that lived up to much hyped expectations.

This is a very popular fish and chip shop, which occasionally means quite a long wait time (as much as 20 minutes on a couple of occasions). We have had numerous items from the menu, from cod to battered sausage and saveloy. The chips are consistently excellent. Staff are always polite and friendly.Highly recommended.Thank you for reviewing us. We do offer an option for telephone orders so this would reduce your wait at busy times. Weâre from Australia & when we order fish n chips at home you wait...not here. Theyâre cooked & ready to go at all times. Good size fish, but a tad greasy for my liking.
