Well where do I start ? This place makes the best dim sims in Australia! Big call you might say ! We have been coming here since the early eighties for their delicious dim sims. I do consider myself a bit of a dim sim connoisseur and these take cake. Do yourself a favour! ✔️ by George!

I noticed Planet Seafood on a recent errand and thought, awesome there's our regular Friday night take away taken care of. Unfortunately the goods didn't live up to our expectations. We ordered two gluten free seafood packs, one with chips, the other with steamed greens. The greens were fine but the chips, didn't even live up to good and fish and chip shop chips. They were floury and could have been cooked a little longer. The scallops were dry and tasteless. Perhaps they were frozen? The prawns and calamari were ok. The fish bites were a little better. Overall a slightly disappointing Friday night dinner. Especially for the price. I would not say we received value for money. Will probably try again but not in a hurry.

I visited Alektor Charcoal and Grill in Bentleigh on Mackie Road during early September 2015. The outlet is a clean looking charcoal chicken shop with an extensive menu offering, specialising in good value meal packs. The quality food is amongst the best charcoal chicken food I've experienced and it is matched by the value. Another key draw card to this outlet is the friendly service from the family who own it. They go over and above to ensure you enjoy your experience here and that's one of the things that brings me back time and time again.

Heard great things, loved the idea of a good seafood place with a thought of also having good dessert to finish......soufflé......so excited! Venue was great, small but quirky. Saturday night dinner really looking forward to catching up with friends for good night. Sever came and gave us menu, took drink orders.......server came back after 15mns to talk about specials......saw the dessert specials on menu board at top of stairs.....soufflé of the day.....yum......beers came....beers almost finished....cocktail and a lemon lime and bitters never arrived, caught servers attention.....reminded her of missing cocktail and lemon lime and bitters, she went away came back and told us that particular cocktail not available as they had run out of lemoncello, ok......looked at menu ordered different cocktail......ordered entrees and mains .......bottle of wine ordered........10mns wine arrived.....10mns entrees arrived.......asked for cocktail and lemon lime and bitters different server.......ate entrees........very good by the way......finally cocktail and lemon lime and bitters arrived..... tasted like normal lemon lime and bitters nothing special...hmmm...seems person at bar was too busy I guess it must be hard to make ....how much lemon, lime or bitters? Mains arrived we ordered seafood platter, male server fantastic explanation of platter once again very nice and would recommend.....time for dessert.....asked for menu.....10 mns to study the menu but we were set on that soufflé on the today’s special board..... 10mns caught the servers attention, ordered three souffles......sorry we have no soufflé.....but it’s on your specials board, why didn’t you tell us it was not for consideration when you brought our dessert menu?? Was it sold out? No idea? Disappointment.....didn’t dare order coffee as it was from the bar....was concerned she may have been too busy to make coffee! Recommend the food very nice......service, that’s a different story all down to one server and a very busy bar tender .....is waiting an hour for a cocktails and a soft drink reasonable? I don’t think so.........why was soufflé still on the today’s special board??
