It's always summer at the Seagull ! Come have fun and relax while enjoying some great food and drinks on the Great South Bay! Casual dining great for the whole family.
Have been to Seagull a few times, most recently last week. Though they were a bit backed up because of a large party that did not have a reservation and they were already out of some of the specials, it was still a good night and our server was fantastic. I had the lobster roll special on this particular night and it was fantastic! It was a bit of a different take on a lobster roll (e.g., diced green apples), but it worked. Fresh calamari app and crab cakes were good. They had a bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp app that I did not care for. It had horseradish in it and the flavors did not mix well at all. That said, overall it was very good.

Attended a Retirement party for a group of approximately 40 guests in the bar area. Excellent service from wait staff. Food was delicious: hot rolls, wonderful pasta with pesto, tender sliced beef, two loaded salads, perfect salmon and chicken. Desserts of warm chocolate lava cakes as well as delicious cheesecakes. Buffet Lunch was high quality and reminiscent of an excellent sit down dinner. Could not notice that there was also a birthday party being held in an adjacent room. Felt as though we had the restaurant to ourselves. Parking was valet only and unfortunately the valet left an accessory on in my vehicle and drained the battery. No big deal but worth a mention. Special Thanks to the guest that provided a jump start. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

Stopped by for a visit with family who came here 30 years ago. Old clientele. Prices are sky high for Garbage. They're only savings Grace ate the soups. Very delicious. They need to reconsider the entree prices. Their stuffed shrimp was an absolute joke as well as the the shrimp appetizer. You'll leave hungry and out $30. Hi Ryan,Thank you for your feedback. Prices of fresh seafood has gone up since you have been here 30 years ago. Sadly, we had to adjust some prices since then. We appreciate you stopping by. Welcome back! :)

I would like to give a better review, although the hamburger that I ordered was overdone and definately not sirloin and the calamari was overcooked as well and a bit tough. The place can use a facelift and would definately benefit as it has one of the best locations in Babylon. But I think it has been neglected as the decor and menu are showing its age. On the positive side, the value is good. We ordered for four, drinks, apps, and burgers for around $100. The burgers are huge, I would just rather have better quality meet like sirloin and cooked the way I order.

I brought the whole family to Captree Cove to celebrate my wife's birthday. There were 6 adults, three children ages 2 to 12 and twin infants. They had plenty of room to accommodate us. The restaurant is located at Captree Park near the Charter/Party Boat fleet. The restaurant is upstairs and the large windows lining three sides of the dining room offer views of the Captree State Park, the waterways and the fleet. The menu is varied and they offer daily specials. The prices are moderate to high. For appetizers, we had the Lobster Bisque, PEI Mussels, Steamers, Shrimp Cocktail and Buffalo Calamari. All were very good. My choice for the main entree was the Pecan Crusted Tilapia with a raspberry sauce, rice pilaf and vegetables. I enjoyed it. Others in the family tried the Chicken Parmigiana, the Crabmeat Stuffed Flounder and the Broiled Atlantic Salmon (we asked for Cajun style and it was prepared it that way). The wait staff was very helpful and efficient. I highly recommend the Captree Cove restaurant for an enjoyable day out.

We were really looking forward to some crab legs and seafood yummies on this gorgeous day out in our neighborhood. Service was brutally slow (not crowded or busy) food was mediocre (dried out potatoes skins) and crappy, dried up crab legs. The bar was lively, not busy, and the atmosphere was a bit, sad. We tried to make the best of it, but even or drinks were weak. Time for new ownership and a much needed facelift. The bathrooms are in poor condition.

This Salt shack at Cedar Beach is one of my favorite summer spots. The oceanfront venue serves lunch and dinner at the hut. The two bars serve top shelf liquor and great rum punches. The summer calendar includes all your favorite local bands. Dancing under the stars here is one of our favorite parts of summer.

We've always enjoyed eating here and we were looking forward to another great meal. I always enjoy the crabcakes, empanadas (no longer offered), and most everything we've ordered. I noticed a significant change in food and prices. Couldn't really find anything that looked good under $30+. And for that price you don't even get a side. That's extra. We had the lobster nachos which were very good. I settled on the bacon wrapped shrimp for an entree. The shrimp were large, served on a few asparagus spears. They were extremely charred. On the outside. The bacon was raw when it was unraveled. The steak entree was ok and a fish entree was a piece of fish served on a bed of lettuce. Drinks were ok, nothing special for the price. Should've gone to wine-down Wednesday elsewhere. I really want to return here and give it another try. Maybe for just a burger. When I want fine dining prices, I will go elsewhere.

Went to this on a recommendation from another recommendation. Something must have gotten lost in the translation because it was not good. The atmosphere was dreary, the sushi was too warm and worst of all they don't serve cocktails. For an appetizer I ordered the Crab Salad and it was drenched in mayo. With all the fabulous sushi places on Long Island, I would skip this one altogether.
