This is very nice spot to dine and enjoy the night with live music specially during weekend.Good food and mezzes, service is a little bit slow but the venue is full of joy and happiness.Recommended to join to the rythme of the music all night long.

Husnu, the proprietor and chef of "Hüsnü Baba'nın Yeri" (Father Husnu's Place) is a gifted cook and a real local character. This restaurant is situated in an alley in central Ayvalik between the two main shopping streets in the vicinity of Halk bank. The facilities and decor are basic but the quality of the food makes a visit worthwhile.Husnu specializes in mezes and seafood using the freshest local ingredients. In the summer sit at tables outside in the alley or choose one of half a dozen tables inside. You can view the food in the cold cabinet inside which will then be prepared for you. Don't miss "Deniz Börülcesi" (samphire) or "Deniz Kestanesi" (sea urchin) if available. The olive oil from Husnu's own trees is perhaps the best you'll find anywhere in Ayvalik which is the home of superb olive oil.

Instead of coming here, go to cunda. You may find better places with the same price. In my opinion, its cooker's first time to cook a fish. Check the picture. You don't have to many options for wine. The only good thing about here is its view and sunset.

The location is excellent. In the old centre of Ayvalik town but away from the noisy crowds. You may want to book in advance to secure the waterfront tables. The view at night is breath taking. Mezes (starters) are excellent. Particularly stuffed courgette flowers and octopus dishes. Your waiter will take you to the meze display to let yoh choose. We had two large sea bass grilled on bbq after our mezes. They were delicious. It is not as expensive as in Cunda restaurants.

Been there for a family dinner, the mezzes were delicious and generous portions, also really fresh. Although mezzes and main courses was good service needs some improvement, our main course served while we were having our main courses which I found really weird for Cunda! The waiter took away my plate while i was still having my starter, i felt being rushed. In my opinion, every guest in the party should finish their meal before being served the next meal cutlery, this restaurant has the potential in the area but service needs to improve as soon as possible.

We found the hotel-restaurant as we wandered through Ayvalik for the first time. From the front it looked smart so we walked in and asked to see the menu. That looked alright too but the deal-sealer was the maitresse'd, who talked us through the options and showed off the meze selection in the chilled display.Marinated sea bass, marinated beef, seaweed and sea beans, chili yogurt and carrot, your amount of aubergine concoctions, and and and... So we decided to eat there. It was a good decision. We had a tasting selection of nine of the meze dishes, accompanied by bowls of olives and a basket of bread. The principal diner followed up with grilled baby squid. It was all bang on the mark and we left feeling satisfied. The location will have had something to do with that: we sat to eat on a little pier and watched as the sun went down. The wait staff helped because they were friendly and attentive without being suffocating. The food helped because it was well-prepared and exactly what we needed. The only reason Sizma Han doesn't get the full five is that the bread was toasted, not fresh. Pity.

Very crowded place.. You should run after servers in order to have items completely.. If you go there, ask cheese stuffed calamari grill..

Nice cosy fish restaurant with the beautiful sunset. Delicious side dishes with Turkish Raki. Lovely service peolpe acompanieing .
Deniz Yildiz is a classic meyhane, with all the day's dishes on display in a large glassfronted refridgerator, including all the usual meze, but also local "ot" dishes, made from local "wild" greens. There are also some specialities to this restaurant, big field mushrooms stuffed with seafood and topped with cheese and as mentioned in my title, the most delicious, tender octopus served on beÄendi, a smoky eggplant puree. It is worth going to Deniz Yildiz for this dish alone. Your waiter or the maitre d' will guide you through each of the dishes to help you make your choice. The restaurant is lively and mostly filled by locals. The staff were attentive and helpful. A blazing fire in the restaurant adds to the atmosphere, and everything is top quailty and spotless. Add on top of that a very reasonable bill at the end of the evening, and I cannot wait to go back. It is tucked away in a small street in the centre of town, but most navigation maps will guide you there easily. Important to note that you need to drop in or call to make a reservation on weekend evenings.
