This is supposed to be a "high class" restaurant bur it misses basic requirements with a very poor service. As a "fish restaurant", it does not have fish forks and knives - normally not a problem for "ordinary" restaurant for a pretentious one, it is a must! Same with a plate for bread and bread knife - non existent! The service was very slow and we had to ask several times. The food is and its presentation was good, hence 2*/5*.If slow or non existant service is not a problem then this is a place for you to have good food!Dear Customer,Thank you for your comment and sincerely sorry for the service that did not satisfy you. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. naturally, I've talked with my restaurant team after your visit to improve these small details which are very important.I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the near future to prove to you that this was only an accident. With this hope,Receive, dear customer, my sincere greetings.Christophe MORNET

Plain and simple. Wooden benches and tables in the open air right next to the sea at Aytré near La Rochelle' seaside area of Les Minimes. Not much choice but what they do they do well. The moules come in the house sauce which has 14 ingredients and is a family secret recipe for four generations now. They produce their own oysters and offer excellent crevettes roses prawns). Frites were fine but maybe over or twice cooked but fir uniqueness and atmosphere and if you like moules, oysters and prawns a must. And the price is unbelievably cheap.

Decided to stop in for dinner of oysters and variety of seafood, it was fantastic! The owner was helpful, the ambience friendly and welcoming. We only selected the oysters, langostine, and bulots. Everything was fresh, cold and tasty. You wonât be disappointed.

Just one block from the old market, among many restaurants, this cosy place is a good option. The cuisine is excellent, unfortunately the service is not up to the same level. There were 4 waiters plus the owner, all moving around trying to look important, but not very professional. I has to repeat twice my order for an obvious lack of coordination, and they forgot part of it.

After reading reviews we came here to try the enormous seafood platter, they were accommodating with regards to allergies, service was slick, the seafood excellent and very fresh, all while eating outside. The wine was very good too. Highly recommend.

Pleasant bar by the beach for a drink and/or dinner. Starter of tabouleh aux crevettes was a little disappointing - smacked of pre-prepared for ease but was tasty enough. Main course of oven roasted bream was the star of the show - delicious!

Seafood and local produce. Fish, vegetables and meats are purchased fees directly to the auction and the market of La Rochelle. Breads, sauces, ice cream, all is made by us in our kitchen!
Certainly a restaurant worth a visit if you are keen on fish. Ingredients are -logically and fortunately- fresh and of good quality and the dishes are well presented too. However i regret that there are no seafood platters or specific regional recipes offered making you feel that you could very well be anywhere in France

Loved this informal "hut" on the beach selling delicious moules. My personal favourite are the "moules campagnardes" flavoured with onions, creamed leeks and white wine. Two 500g portions of musssels, two portions of fries and two beers for approx EUR 30. Help yourself to bread and make your own bread basket - a nice touch!

Absolutely first class fresh seafood served simply. Pleasant service, short but very appealing menu and simple surroundings. My only quibble was that a couple of my langoustines were over cooked. Otherwise perfect.
