We have visited Lakeside several times and found the food to be of good value. However, we have noticed some deterioration of the facilities. Many of the chairs and booths have tape on them and they are difficult to sit in. Too bad for it detracts from an otherwise nice experience. I will still go there, just be selective where I sit.

We enjoyed a great meal here with great service and a quiet atmosphere overlooking the Lake. We enjoyed the Delmonico steak, with asparagus, mashed potatoes. Excellent dessert tray for after dinner if you have room. This is a great place for dinner and also has seating lakeside. Highly recommend!Thank you for dining with us! We are so very happy that you enjoyed your Delmonico steak with all the fixings. We do have an amazing selection of "Hope"made desserts that everyone should sample! We hope that we get to see you again soon!In the Spirit of Hospitality,Cynthia MakrisOwnerNASWA Resort and Restaurants

We welcome you to experience sophisticated dining overlooking Lake Opechee. Enjoy hand cut steaks and the freshest seafood complemented by a new world of wine and martinis. We are loacated in the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa.
We had a wonderful lunch today - tasty food and excellent service. For appetizers we had the O Pops (which are my favorite) and my companions raved about the Crispy Duck Lollipops. Once again I had the grilled steak tips and they did not disappoint. The price is very reasonable at lunch time for the quality and quantity of food. I think the mark of a good restaurant is consistency and not having been to O's in quite awhile, I was thrilled that the food and service were as good as I remembered. Thanks to Kim for excellent service once again!

We have always counted on Johnsons for a wonderful homey meal with a slice of their delicious pie for desert. We had some guests come and we decided to take them out for lunch. We were excited to take them to Johnsons (Steak and Seafood) since we felt it is a slice of our rural NH and seacoast life that they might enjoy. They wanted a whole lobster because they won't get that experience in California. When we ordered the server said that there was only one lobster left! We grabbed it and they had to share the one pound lobster! Not a great experience to start the meal with. As we went on I asked what pies they had today for dessert. The waitress looked stunned and said that she thought there might be a pumpkin pie. I inquired about Bumbleberry or apple or blueberry. Johnsons always has had wonderful pies on the menu for dessert. Her answer was "you can buy a whole pie at the counter and eat it at your table!" WHAT THE HECK? The dessert menu had 3 desserts listed at $8 apiece. That is ridiculous! Even the most elegant restaurants don't charge that much for dessert. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THE OLD JOHNSONS? They may have built that huge addition for the brew house and it is lovely, but they have abandon the home town lunch and diner part of the place. They are no longer on my "Place To Go " list for our family or as a suggestion to friends looking for a good meal. Service was just average also, very little connection to us as customers...

Sit out on the deck overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. Relax and have a nice, if not spectacular dinner, and be sure to feed the begging ducks. A lovely way to spend dinner or lunch.
