Sitting on the Adriatic coast, this remains one of the most important places of the Italian fishing industry. Don't expect too many people speaking English here as this is predominantly an Italian domestic vacation destination. If you don't speak passable Italian, bring a phrasebook, you'll need it. However, you may bump into a few Germans and Dutch who have found this place and want to keep it to themselves. As a base in Southern Le Marche you can't go wrong. There is a great beach in Lungomare to utilise as well as various Festas happening in the town centre. People are not quite as friendly initially as you'll find in larger, more cosmopolitan places, but once you get to know them a little better, the traditional Italian hospitality comes to the fore. From SBdT you can explore the nearby towns such as Ascoli, Porto San Giorgio and the stunning hillside location of Urbino. After this you can then decide to move on further south to Abruzzo or north to Northern Le Marche or Emilia Romagna, depending on what you want to see or do.

A few steps from the seafront in Grottammare Palmino is a refreshed specializes in seafood cuisine where you can taste the best flavors of the sea with dishes Sanbenedettese. Accommodated within its bright rooms overlooking a lush garden, where in summer
Love love love this restaurant. I discovered it (with the help of TA) during December when my usual seafood restaurant was closed. During my week stay in December, I ended up eating here twice. I returned again during a short visit to the area in April. Each time, I wasnât disappointed. Iâve eaten the Seafood Salad, Campilfilone with Scampi, Risotto with Scampi, Scampi al Vapore, Mixed Grille, and Semifreddo. Iâve never been disappointed. They have a nice selection of wines (including Ciu Ciu) and the glasses are nice pours. The proprietor has done a nice job of selecting high quality foods, wines, coffees, and digestivi. I will surely return here each time Iâm in the area. Side note â the Coperto may seem high, but it includes coffee and often an amaro.

This is a story about a big Italian heart. We arrived at the restaurant around 15 o'clock and were initially told that they can not serve us food anymore, since they will close soon. We were disappointed especially as the schedule on tripadvisor said otherwise (which in itself felt a bit odd as apart from really touristy places all restaurants in Italy close after lunch). The lady at the bar explained that the schedule on tripadvisor shows the bar hours, not kitchen so we went away hungry and not very happy. We were already couple of meters away when the owner got out and shouted to come back. He told us he can make us some antipasti and a primo which was everything that we were longing for. Even if they were about to close he did not make us feel rushed, served us home made wine and delicious sea food: bread and olive oil, alici marinati, lentils with crab (?) meat, as well as a generous portion of sea food spaghetti. For our child they prepared schnitzel with fries. Everything came at about 30 EUR and the wine and water were on the house. We were really impressed by the hospitality and the willingness to go the extra mile. People will always remember how they made you feel so you will be in our memories, signore! Grazzie mille once again!

My husband and I met some family at Ciciina al Porto and had an unforgettable meal. Everything was fresh and delicious. Every seafood dish served out did the other, the crudo dishes are super fresh and simply prepared and so delicious! The octopus was tender and juicy, the seafood platter was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a wide of fish. The house wine paired with the seafood perfectly and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely return to try other dishes.

If you are in the area, this is a great treat. Very polite and helpful staff serving a great mix of deep fried fish, olives and vegetables. They were very good and it was quite a unique place. Worth a stop.

Traditional Cuisine Of San Benedetto Del Tronto, The Popular Fisching Town. Restaurant Is Powered By Members Of The Whole Family And Always Preferred By Residents Is Demanding More Recipes To Thank The Severity Of The Fresh Ingredients And The Consistency
At the moment this restaurant is n°1 on Tripadvisor for San Benedetto. I have been coming to San Benedetto area for the last thirty years and comparing Tato's offer to the average high level restauration of the town and surroundings I think that the quality/price ratio is not excellent . Non all the antipasti ( around 15 small samples ) of the " Percorso di mare " were impressive, whereas I appreciated very much the seafood mezzemaniche and linguine. The atmosphere and customer care reminds me of several local ordinary seafood trattorias, although the reastaurant offers a relatively elegant appearance. Nice place, nothing impressive.
