Located at an unexpected, not fancy, hidden location in Iraklion, Athens, not where i was imagining to find a good fish restaurant, it was a positive surprise for the quality of food and the professional service. The fish was fresh, well prepared and well served, tasty, made on local Greek recipes and the rest, octapus, calamares, shrimps, steamed muscles, fresh tomato sallad with ansjovis (their own recipe) were all superb!I can think of some people may not like some of the Greek spices or the Greek way of making fish dishes or soups, i excuse all of them. To me, this was one of the best fish restaurants i visited in Athens. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly, i did not need to raise my head searching after them, they were just there for us. The decoration of the walls the most unique thing i ever seen, even if in some cases you need to be Greek to understand the humor or the phraces. It was all explained to me by my host. The restaurant is rather traditional fish tavern, not so big and the menu is rich of fish dishes, mostly with the catch of the day. The wine-list limited but good, mostly with Greek wines. Eventually i was missing more choices of beers, the list is really limited.Prices are rather high but the total impression, based on the quality and the excellent service remains very positive. In Summary:Positive + quality of raw materials + tasty local recipes + excellent service and pleasant staff + decorationNeutral/Negative - location not really representative, not easy to find - rather high prices - limited winelist, mostly based on Greek selections (wine and beers)Everything you try is good! A good advice is to ask the chief for recommendations of the day.

Every time we visit this restaurant we experience the best fish food. Very good service, friendly atmosphere, incredible tastes and one remarkable wine list. We very much enjoy the warm welcome by the owners Manos and Vicky so we always come back.

The location is stupendous near the water co. processing facility. The outdoor seating is limited since he plastic partitioning has been opted for an all year operation. Broad spectrum from lobster spaghetti to grill meat is offered at a decent quality but as always overpriced and not exquisitely prepared. However the place has acquired an interregional popularity strengthened by the Sunday lunches. Do choose simpler and not upper tier grilled fish and ask for partitioning and olive & lemon to be offered at the table. Also beware of over grilling with the inevitable desiccation.Hello,I should tell you that the restaurant that you wrote your review isn't ours...!!Propably you made a mistake at the location because we are not near water or sea...!! There is another restaurant with the same name ("Karavidas") but it is at Porto Rafti, not at Nea Ionia...!! So we would be grateful if you just delete your review..!!Thanks a lot...!!

Had a business lunch in this marvellous restaurant. All the food is wonderful, everything tastes so wow. We selected a lot of things to share. Sardines marinated, sardines grilled, deep fried calamari, pumpkin, tomato salad and many other things. The taste of every single ingredient was incredible. My favourite one was the grilled sardines, wow. If I have a chance to be in that area of Athens in the future, Iâll visit this restaurant again. Strongly recommended.

Seafood restaurant, specialized at fish and oysters
The food was really great, fresh fish grilled to perfection. The appetizers were original and every dish had a distinct flavor, it was not placed on the menu without something to say. Great care on the menu selection and the result is that everything that you order will be an interesting dish.
