Without booking we arrived to a very warm welcome from Morven. Although busy she coped really well in a pleasant and efficient manner. A variety of dishes were ordered including a couple of amendments to the already extensive menu offering. The range of drinks was excellent and served quickly. The food arrived in good time and everyone in our 10 strong golfing party were impressed by the quality and portion size.Although we donât venture to this area of Scotland often we will definitely return to the Courieinn the next time we are close.

The incredible location and natural backdrop combined with probably the best food Iâve eaten in a hotel restaurant in Scotland makes this place seriously unique inmy opinion. Also a superb front of house team who forgo stiff and rehearsed service in favour of genuine charm, character and hospitality just makes it even better. Decor a comfortable mix of modern and contemporary set against some unrivalled views I slept like log, this place is really special.

Stopped by as we were heading back to the hotel we were staying at.Very friendly staff and good food for reasonable prices. A place I recommend.Have also B&B rooms if you are looking for a place to stay though the street might be a bit noisy.

Located in a traditional old building the restaurant has been fully refurbished to reflect a contemporary modern look
We decided to give the Comrie Hotel a try for lunch. The bar had several customers - probably locals - we chose a seat in the restaurant. Nobody came to serve us so l went in search of assistance- young lad in kitchen and lady in bar - silence! I explained we were in restaurant and would like to order! Food was standard fare - burgers, steak pie, fish & chips etc - hot and nicely presented but let down by poorly trained staff who clearly are not experienced in waiting in a restaurant and with only basic people skills.Dear CaptainR222,What a shame! It's very unusual to get this kind of feedback as all our staff are normally very attentive to our customers.I realise this reply is quite late but I wanted to assure you that I had a discussion with all of my staff after this review was received and further training was given.

This is a great place for a special meal with amazing views and lovely food. Three choices on the main menu for veggies; not sure if the curry might also have been vegan. Would have been nice if one of the specials had been a veggie meal.Prices around the £14 mark for mains and about £6 for puds.Food of good quality. The dark haired bar lady and waitress was SO lovely, warm and friendly. She suggested that my Dad could walk out the back entrance as he is disabled.Meal for 5 with mainly water to drink was £115.The views from the bar and restaurant are spectacular.A lot of steps up to the front door.See below for veggie pancake meal and the frangipane and coconut tart.

Visited because of the great review and they were totally accurate!Dreich day but everyone here in both cafe and shop exuded a positive, friendly and welcoming vibe.We sat in the âparlourâ with its unique eclectic decor and ate a fab take on tandoori chicken in a nan bread with excellent coffee and hot chocolate, for the younger members of our party, which all went down a treat. We were encouraged to take our dog into the shop by a lovely young chap who overheard us pondering about whether that would be acceptable and bought some lovely chocolate, oatcakes and award winning Scottish cheese to take home. An extensive collection of camping, biking and all things outward bound on sale too. From my 82 year old mum to my teenagers we loved this place and would recommend it to all fellow travellers!

A 34 bedroom hotel offering three distinct dining offerings from Scottish, a Pub Grub, to fine Beer Bistro dining. The brewery and Cider shack produce artisan beers that are served in the three bars while personally sourced wines can be enjoyed in the win

Nestling at the foot of the Highlands, the Deil's Cauldron specialises in fine food and fine wine. Fresh, seasonal, local produce only and carefully selected wines, the ideal choice for an intimate dinner or indeed any occasion. Superb traditional Sunday
Another great choice for Sunday roast in the area. Perfectly cooked beef and the Yorkshire puddings were superb.

Having stayed a few years ago we decided to stop on our way home to Northumberland for lunch. It had been good on a previous visit but was even better this time. The Welsh gentlemen who welcomed us was great. He was very attentive and could not apologise enough when my garlic bread side was missed. The carbonara was divine and the burger my partner had was very well received.Am delighted that you enjoyed your brief visit to us and that the food and service both lived up to and exceeded expectations. Do hope you can visit us another time and perhaps stay with us on that trip. Best wishes Susan

Well crafted dishes, especially a carpaccio of venison. Decent dry martini to start with though the wine list is very New World oriented. Efficient service with two waiters straight out of Central Casting. All in all, good value
