The food was really fantastic! We had a break while, visiting distileries in the soutch coast of Islay and we really enjoyed it! Great sea food, good meats - book in advance! Place is quite crowded!

During a six night stay on Islay we ate here twice. Both times I had seafood. On the first night the sea bass (Dorado) and the second time a platter with scallops, langoustines and lobster. Everything was excellently prepared and tasted delicious. Prices were resonable and service was professional, although some members of staff can be less grumpy when addressing their customers. This can not be said for the asian waiters who were very friendly and service minded. We had a great night here both times.

Three of us had dinner and drinks on our first evening in Port Ellen. We were extremely tired from a very long travel day but got a second wind when we saw the whisky selection. Appetizers, meals, and desserts were all delicious, the service was excellent, and we were even entertained with live music at the end of the night. Our experience was so good, we returned for another evening meal and a breakfast, which was made exceptional by very good espresso.

We were told there were only two good places to eat in Port Ellen, so we went to check out both and they were a bit pricey and busy so we walked a little further up the street. We came up to a quiet hotel and bar on the edge of Port Ellen. The food here comes in large portions and is cheaper than some of the other places. They also have a good selection of Islay scotch. We had the nachos and steak pie, and both were good. With few dining options in Port Ellen this place is not to be missed
