Basil's Grill at The Green offers modern Scottish cooking. The restaurant has an engagingly contemporary feel, with elegant décor and a stylish menu to match. The menu draws on seasonal local produce to create dishes such as oven-baked cod in a saffron mu
My wife and I ate here twice during a 3 day Christmas break. The food was very well cooked, tasted great and reasonable sized portions. The staff were polite, professional and very efficient. The day we had Christmas lunch was very busy but everything looked well planned and the whole process went very smoothly. The timing between courses was perfect. We really enjoyed the experience.

We are very lucky to have a fabulous location right on the banks of Loch Leven with spectacular views to Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was held captive. Our restaurant has an amazing ambience with ceiling mounted fairy lights throughout, a l
I am so disappointed at the service from the two woman that were on today. I would not recommend anyone to go here. I took 7 friends for lunch there who were visiting from Italy, to have only be met with rude and arrogant waitresses. Firstly I walked in and there was only one other couple in the whole place which I thought was great due to the fact we did not reserve a table. I asked for a table for 8 to only be met with grunts and she walked away. As I was waiting I noticed that it would be fine because we can just push the two empty tables together. When the woman came back she said we would have to sit and different tables, to which I responded by saying why can we not push the tables together, she then grunted and left to move the table. So rude in welcoming us. We then all sat down, and we ordered drinks then food. As I had to translate what was being said the waitress was so impatient and had a look on her face that could sink a ship. I was so annoyed that the restaurant does not hold these policies of manners in high respect! Training in how to deal with customers is a must for this place. We then waited over an hour till our food came out, even though the place was empty. They were not good with children, not a child friendly place at all!. I think the manager needs to have a word to the two woman working today. They did not even crack a smile! We were at the Beinn Inn yesterday and it was an amazing service and treated us so well from the welcome to the goodbye. It was also over priced and the food was okay but not great.

Perfectly located in the centre of Kinross, this is an ideal place for refreshment. We had coffee and cake, both were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. If you were walking the Loch Leven Heritage Trail around the Loch it would be worth the short detour into Kinross to visit this cafe on what was once âthe Great North Roadâ.

Comfortable cafe serving coffee and comfort food in the heart of Kinross, situated on the shores of historic Loch Leven. Breakfasts, burgers, grilled cheeses, home baking and more. Open seven days.
Very comfortable surroundings with different choices of seating. Great service, efficient and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Great choices of food on the menu with interesting blends of tastes to try. Tasty and very filling and at a decent price. Very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed.

The Court House Coffee Bar & Restaurant was opened in spring 2015, bringing one of the most historic buildings in Kinross back to life. The old prison yard is now our garden & patio and is a sunny and peaceful spot, protected by the original sandstone wal
Decided to take granddaughter for birthday dinner. Quirky seats, good friendly service pizza garlic bread for starter as I didn't fancy named one's, quite big good for sharing, battered fish was lovely. Not the cheapest but food was good quality, drinks as per any restaurant were expensive although fever tree tonic was very reasonable in comparison to other places. Kids portions were large but they enjoyed what they ate.

Welcome to Le Jardin, where our menu features something to suit everyone's tastes. What better way to warm yourself up on a chilly winter's day than by sitting down to a hearty bowl of our homemade soup or creamy macaroni? Or if you're in the mood for som
A favourite stop for breakfast or lunch on our way to Edinburgh. An extremely varied menu and delicious salads especially the paradise chicken!Always spotlessly clean and staff are super efficient so you never have long to wait! The garden centre has recently been bought over from Dobbies to Caulders and is really lovely but it would be a pity to loose Kim and Sam from the restaurant if there are more changes planned?! New cutlery would be a plus as the existing ones are so uncomfortable to hold!Perhaps the new owners could enhance the restrooms and extend the facilities but maybe thatâs already on plan?!

We received a warm welcome by staff who advised they were currently quiet so feel free to pick our table. We choose a table by the window in the restaurant which was very comfortable and stylish. The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We had mushroom brusetta for starters which was very tasty and well presented. The roast of the day was pork which again was very good and beautifully presented. The vegetables were varied eg broccoli, cauliflower, parsnip etc and still had a "bite" which is so much better than over cooked vgetables. We did not manage a dessert. Highly recommend and will most definitely return.

Grouse & Claret is an excellent family run business with appealing views over the next door trout fishery.. The food was very, very good. Did exceptional meal for a vegeterian in our party which was better than a Michelin starred restaurant in Edinburgh. Have been before & will return again.
