I found the menu very limited for choice but overall the food was good and most of our party enjoyed it. There is no other restaurants that you can walk to nearby so you will probably end up eating here unless you have someone willing to drive in your party.

Since 2016, Bridge Cottage Cafe has been under new ownership and management. The cafe has been completely refurbished, and Ana and Manu offer delicious Galician baking as well as local favourites. Wherever possible, all food is organic and sourced locally
Back here after a year and we were so happy to find the place up the same excellent standards of home cooking and service. The broccoli and almond soup was so different from the standard cafe soups you often find, and the home made tortilla served with bread and a delicious fresh salad was wonderful. They also have a range of absolutely mouth-wateringly good cakes! Service was welcoming and prompt and overall we could not fault the place. We look forward to our next visit!

The location is good situated next to the stream not far the jetty and pontoons, so convenient for sailors. The dining room itself is comfortable enough and there was a varied menu and a number of specials. The level of service depended on who served you, one of the staff was not very welcoming the other was good.I ordered fish pie which was OK, but nothing special, neither was my husband's venison.I do not think that I will be in Gairloch again, but if I were I would try somewhere else.

We dropped in on the chance that we could get a coffee served outside as we had our dog with us.Not only was the coffee and cake (gluten free carrot cake) excellent, the chef brought out a treat for our dog. Price good. We'll call again when in holiday next year.

This Inn is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner with a delicious specials board to choose from. It is a lovely spot, with seating outside if the weather is good. Only one thing irritated us, a small issue but annoying all the same, a small child tunelessly whistling and hanging around the bar. Hopefully he will learn a tune before long.

We popped along for a wander and stopped here for a brew which was great. Good view of the bay and the tea came with complimentary biccies which were brill. These days teas and coffee range from the sensible to the silly here is was the former and with the biccies made a great experience

Booked a table on the last night of our holiday. Donald greeted us on arrival, what a lovely chap. I had duo of salmon to start and salmon with ratatouille and potatoes for my main course, the other half had the Crofters pie. The food was delicious. Itâs clearly a favourite for lots of people as the restaurant filled up, the atmosphere was lovely, staff friendly and everything spotlessly clean. The views from every window add to the experience, what a gem. Thank you

We stayed in Gairloch for a week and the Barn cafe became our firm favourite with a great selection of home baking, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. An added bonus on Tuesday is the local Highland band practice. Great location near the Big Sand and well worth turning into the campsite to find this place. Highly recommended!

Come along and enjoy our wonderful Cafe Bistro, filling lunches, homemade delicious cakes and bakes and the best coffee about!
I booked a table for my husband and myself, not wishing to risk it, as it was his 60th birthday. I explained this to the Steading and they said no problem. We arrived on the Sunday. First impressions - it was packed and not nearly as nice as it appeared in the photos. Ah well, the food was supposed to be great. I looked at the special - lasagne. I had hoped for some local Scottish food but homemade lasagne can be fab. A young man came to the counter, I explained I had booked. He looked at me blankly. The manageress finally came to his rescue and said sorry, they had forgotten. I was not happy. After a few minutes they offered us two chairs by the fire, that sounded like a plan! We were taken to two chairs that had seen better days next to an unlit wood burner. The tiny table in front of them was for coffee and wasn't nice. I was fuming by this point and just said no way and went to leave. They said they were sorry to which I replied TripAdvisor would be interested in my review. At this point the manageress magically appeared again and offered free drinks to which my reply was, 'Too late.' Just not good enough on so many levels. We went to Gairloch Hotel and we had a fantastic meal with a surprise Happy Birthday dessert compliments of the chef. Do check my review of them.Glad you enjoyed your meal at the gairloch hotel! We had a very busy day with many happy customers who enjoyed both our food and surroundings. I did apologise more than once but you didn't want to know - not much more we could do! I would comment on all your other points but I'm sure people can make up there own minds and can see you are just annoyed I forgot to reserve your table!

Stopped for breakfast, and we were underwhelmed by the menu... HOWEVER! When the food we ordered came, it was amazing!!! We had the banana, bacon and maple syrup sandwich, and the goats cheese and apple sandwich. They were so good, we (attempted) to make them once we came home. They were good, but not quite as tasty as yours!!! Would definitely recommend. Staff were also all very friendly and helpful.
