I was here recently at a Rod Stewart tribute night. To tell the truth I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Very well organised, taken to tables, food service was prompt and efficient and hot enjoyable food. Was pleasantly surprised as often Christmas nights the food is not up to much, but this was very nice indeed. Also the bedrooms were of a high standard, better than a few 4 stars hotels we have stayed in. Quality carpets and curtains. Bathroom fabulous. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and wish luck to the new proprietors.

The prices are very reasonable. We all had the cooked breakfast. The sausages were cheap and really quite awful. Otherwise the food was good. A smile to strangers on entering cafe would make a difference. Only locals seemed to get a welcome. Please, please buy better sausages it would make a good breakfast great!

Recently visited after hearing about the new menu and offers available. Some food was ok, nacho were awful, soggy and tasteless. Worst was the drinks prices, defo will be drinki bt tap water if i go back. Wine was so over priced compared with other local places. I would expect to pay £20 with a nice meal in glasgow. But way over priced considering the menu and decor. Kitchen paper on a roll on the table instead of paper towels, felt so cheap.

Hadnât been to the Counting House for quite some time and forgot how good the food is. Over the past few weeks have been several times. The menu two for £10.99 mon-thurs has much more variety to choose from. Iâve had the chicken, bacon and leek pie, delicious and also the steak and ale pie, simple delicious. Other members of my family love the fajitas (chicken & steak) absolutely mouthwatering. One member of the family needs her meals to be gluten free and The Counting House has a separate vegetarian and gluten free menu. In the gluten free there is not a lot to choose from but she was more than impressed with the presentation and how tasty her meal was. So impressed was she we went back two weeks in a row. The desserts are scrumptious too. Value for money 10/10Variety on Two for £10.99 10/10Presentation 10/10Food 10/10Staff 10/10 canât do enough for you. So pleasant and very attentive. Small grill restaurant serving a wide range of freshly made to order dishes, using top quality ingredients. Simply good food!
We couldn't believe our luck that we where able to get a walk in table as it's usually fully booked but our plans changed and we where looking for somewhere to eat and Grill on the Bridge is our go to place in Dumbarton! Amazing quality of food most of which is locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly helpful and patient especially when you have a contrary 6 year old who changed his mind! I love the fact the children's menu is proper food from the adult menu but smaller portions and not your bulk standard frozen nuggets fish fingers or pizza - I honestly have no negative comments to make except the cheesecake is too good and I can never decide which one to get so just as well they have a takeaway service which in my case is a cakeaway! Thanks for providing us with an amazing family friendly place to eat locally - see you soon!

Had a lovely evening meal, spicy chicken and the steak pie for me. The chicken was very good but the steak pie was excellent, nice bit of steak. The dessert menu is very good, a great variety and all very well priced. Overall a great dinner, very well priced and topped off with excellent staff who were efficient and very pleasant. Thank you.

Some friends and I had dinner together here recently. Perfect meeting point for us at this cosy bar. We had a range of dishes between us such as Chicken Enchilada, Chicken Supreme (their version) and Nachos as a main. Soooo good, each dish was super tasty! Friendly service and great prices, we will be back again.

First time visit and it was buzzing. With a varied menu that is slightly weighted towards seafood there is something for everyone. Our party had both the seafood and the meat options, and all of us were very impressed with the meals prepared for us. Well cooked, well presented and incredibly tasty. Will certainly return when next in the area, and would recommend it to anyone.
