It’s home to the country’s oldest cinema (Biografteatern Scala), a production studio, and the Cineteket interactive film museum. My friend was looking forward to lunch or coffee at Hotel Continental as part of the Wallander experience. We arrived on a rainy July day to be told that the restaurant was closed and there was just outdoor serving. We walk out to the outdoor service and all the chairs were put up and no one around. So, no food or drink for us and no review for the restaurant.

Popular seaside restaurant in the Ystad marina. Great food, refreshing drinks and entertainment. The inventors of the Vräkmacka!
Great location, friendly staff, efficient service and a lively atmosphere. Better value than the restaurants in the main square of Ystad. We had calamari, plaice and pork belly, all very good and large portions. Family discussion decided 4 rather than 5 star rating but very close run thing.

Restaurant Norra Promenaden was built around 1870 in typical architecture for the period. Several music and dining pavilions were added when the area became increasingly popular. The area was before the old cemetery, laid out in two stages in 1812 and in
It's such a refreshing change , to actually come across a restaurant in Ystad who can give you a few simple choices of a lunch menu , a vegetarian dish included ( thank you from me:). That are flavoursome , cooked with passion , good quality ingredients and that's something you can taste. Well done guys! All dishes are well presented. You get a small salad bowl to start with, there is homemade bread, which you help yourself to, non alcoholic drinks as well as a few alcoholic choices, of course you get coffee after your lunch , again this you help yourself to. Lunch times are busy, best to go at 13.00 then most of the rush has gone, but you might have to wait a few moments... But that's ok. Decor, New England with a slight twist. Windows are all around you , you see this restaurant is located in the middle of a delightful small park. A walk through forest for most residents of Ystad . As you eat lunch or even stop by for coffee and homemade cakes , the picturesque surroundings are beautiful, yes you could and on many occasions we have just sat and watched the world go by. Norra promenaden is highly recommended. Hi Anna,I´m glad to hear that your visit was a memory at our home Norra Promenaden! We are humble for your words and will continue work hard to make it the best for you guest.Like to see you here again! All the bestDaniel Wihlborg through Norra Promenaden

A very good place to enjoy some Danish open-faced sandwiches (Danska smörrebröd).On a small side street off lovely Stora Ãstergatan you'll find this little gem. Indoor tables are available, but whenever weather permitting I recommend you'd sit outside in the lovely garden. We ordered two beers and two Smörrebröd. One with ground beef (like a burger patty) and one with goose liver paté. Presented on a very good piece of typical rye bread and topped with mayo, lettuce, cucumber, crispy onions, tomato, oranges and more. It's a real feast for your eyes. But also very very tasty. Ok, the patty wasn't special, but the combination was. But the liver paté sandwich was definitely the better one here. All in all a good place to grab a cold beer and some lunch. Dogs allowed (in the garden) as well.Wanna know more about me and my trips? Check my profile.

We arrived at the hotel restaurant at around 13.30 on a Saturday to be told the restaurant had ran out of food and that we could go and eat at the 'spa cafe' next to the pool. The area by the pool was full with hotel guests eating the only food option an open prawn sandwich - which was pretty bad... the butter was in lumps and still frozen... clearly an emergency measure. Tables were not being cleared and people were sharing tables with the plates and glasses left over from the last guests..I wouldn't consider staying at this hotel based on their clear incompetence. I'm shocked that what is supposedly a good hotel can have such shockingly bad food and beverage management.

Found a great place to have dinner and drinks. Drinks were a bit better than dinner. Service was good. Food average with small portions.

This is mainly a take-away place. Only four seats inside. They had a small Patio open but in January i´ll rather sit inside. Wide selection of Subs. It´s a little bit like subway but so much better, you can build your own sub. Everything is made right when you order so it´s very fresh. I recommend the mozzarella and pesto sandwich which we both had. Nice friendly and helpful staff even though they where really busy.

We ate their 5 course menu and the flavors were superbly good. Nice relaxed staff who gave top service. They lived up to their high reputation. Not cheap but worth every penny. Thanks for your wonderful feedback. Hope to see you soon again.RegardsAnders Nilsson with team
