An elegant mixture of classsical French cuisine with surprising twists of modern and innovative creativity. We had a 5-dish dinner menu with and a wine menu with a separate wine for each dish and an aperitif with the appetizer (additional to the 5 dishes but included in the price).Every dish was appetizing, with a good mix of different tastes and textures. Especially the starter a risotto with spelt instead of rice, was amazing - one of the best I've ever had.Every single glas of wine was special and characteristic. One of the wines we taster before the dish. I believe it was the other starter. The wine had a very caracteristic and not really pleasant taste, but with the dish this wine was just perfect were the wine's taste in so many ways complemented the dish.It would also be possible - and considerably cheaper - to choose an all-round flavoury, but light red wine for all the dishes, but treat yourself and get the wine menu with the 4 or 5 dish menu. It is expensive, but it is definitely worth it.We have tried several good restaurants in Odense and this is the one that I believe is the best.Dear Langfred, Thank you very much for your kind review. We are pleased to hear that you had a great evening. We hope to see you in the restaurant again any time soon. Best regards, The team at Oluf Bagers GÃ¥rd

I was invited to lunch here. The ambiance was very welcoming, cosy and distinctly Danish. Perfect choices on the lunch meny, some international dishes but some weight on the Danish Smörrebröd. The "Pariserböf" was huge, perfectly cooked, excellent sided to it and just a great lunch experience. Perfect service and very nice lunch room setting.Prices are medium range, and value for money excellent. I hope to be here soon again.

North Atlantic food Our kitchen is North Atlantic with distinct references towards finer French gastronomy. In unison, we incorporate components from the three North Atlantic countries. We use local ingredients from minor as well as larger manufactures -
A very impressive visit in the heart of the Harbour-environment in Odense. Few but delicious dishes - very well prepared and served with competent elegance in a nice layout in the NorthAtlantic House ...

From the reviews and the pictures (that look very nice and with big portions) we expected more. We ordered a sharing dish and we thought (especially given the higher price than any other dish) that it was going to be quite big, but instead the portion was barely splittable in three. The main dish was instead quite abundant. We ordered a smoked salmon salad (the salmon wasnât smoked!) and a steak sandwich (which was very good). If you want to visit, stay with the main dishes (and the personal suggestion is: order some meat!).

We had Sunday brunch outside on the edge of Black Friar Square, just a block from Hans Christian boyhood home. The omelet for two, presented in a large, hot, cast iron pan was paired with Danish beer and a white wine. Service fine, location perfect, omelet delightful; all one can ask for. The Gronttorvet is located a 10 minute walk from main train station, an hour ride from Copenhagen on the express train

Don't expect a two course meal and half a bottle of wine for any less than at least 100 Euro a head. Whilst most of the food was decent enough, portions are dolls-house tiny... my 'starter' of lobster carpaccio could have neatly fitted onto a tablespoon, my 'main course' of pigeon was scaled at what other decent restaurants would have properly called a starter. There were two male waiting staff fussing over only seven customers all evening. One waiter's greatest pleasure was to laboriously list every ingredient in every dish brought to the table, and when we finished our bottle of San Pellegrino water, to provide us with another (opened) without even asking us if we wanted it (another 7 Euro, thank you very much!). Some may find this a charming attention to detail, but I found it rather rude and presumptuous (one wonders if he'd done the same with the 50 Euro bottle of wine?). The other waiter clearly didn't appreciate us being in his oh-so-exclusive restaurant at all, and his nose stayed high in the air the whole time, giving us the the most grudging of haughty acknowledgements when we left.I left feeling somewhat 'conned' and resentful, still hungry, and much the poorer. I will not be back.

Restaurant Under Lindetræet is one of the oldest gourmet restaurant in Denmark. The building is dated all the way back to 1771, and there has been a restaurant in the building since 1960. The food is made from local, top quality ingredients and the wine a
You can tell that the chef is careful with his choices of the menu, the food was great and also looked extremely good on the plate. The ambience is great, nice and cosy, in tune with the small houses around (the restaurant is just across the street from the H.C. Andersen house).

The building itself is a delight - dating back to 1683 and very much looking the part. Service was excellent, and the food very rich, but very good. My main course was rack of lamb, with a variety of interesting vegetables and a thick lamb sauce. My partner had Wiener Schnitzel. Our desserts were pancakes with home-made icecream and a flaming creme brulee. The starters looked good and very substantial, but we knew we wouldn't have room!

This restaurant is a bit more hyped than deserved. Very french brasserie style interior with lots of different style chairs etc. Friendly service but not overly attentive. Good food but not prepared with the expertise we expected. Some of the dishes very quite over salted. But it is cheap so I guess you should not expect high end quality. It is also quite rare that it happens.

Very nice atmosphere at this place, and super friendly service. Brunch was tasty, but for 169DKK pretty pricey, and honestly there could've been more on the platter. Would definitely go again & try something else.Dear Henrik_moThank you for your review and for sharing your experience at Tripadvisor.
