Brúin Restaurant is situated close by the harbor in GrindavÃk with lovely view of the ocean. We specialize in various fish dishes and seafood. But of course we also offer meat dishes, sandwiches and burgers. Brúin is a family friendly restaurant with spec
We were taken here for lunch as part of a tour. All the food was on a self serve table and it consisted of bread and soup. The soup was good but the meal seemed spartan. The oddest thing about the meal was that the man who appeared to be the manager or possibly the owner, stood around wearing a scowl the entire time we were there. I've never experienced a restauranteur who glared, scowled and appeared to be so unhappy that he had customers eating in his place. We were a large group of senior citizens cruising on a 6 star cruise line so it's not like we looked like a bunch of hoodlums. The best way I can describe this man's demeanor would be that it was like he was afraid we were going to steal his silverware or a dish or something, seriously.

Serving exquisite reinventions of Icelandic cuisine, Moss occupies the highest point at Blue Lagoon Iceland, offering stunning views of the volcanic horizon. Recommended by the 2019 Michelin Guide.
Went here for a special birthday dinner on 8/30 at 8:30pm. Vibe is nice and sophisticated. We were shown to our table right away. Service was awesome throughout the night. Water was refilled right away. Plates cleared right away. But there were some gaps (not sure if it was intentional or not) in between meals. Making the whole dinner almost 3 hours. We chose the 7 course (probably should have done the 5 course). The first two appetizers, Scallops and beet dishes were really really good. I was excited to see what the entree was. The first, Salmon (sous vide) was really good. I never had it prepared that way before. The next 2 was a tad disappointing. It was King crab with cod. the crab was on avocado which I didn't think worked at all. The cod was ok. The main entree was an elaborate presentation of beef cheek and tenderloin. The meat was cooked perfectly, but I thought the sauce was unnecessary. It over powered the beef. The dessert course was nice. For the price, I thought the food could have been a little bit better. But the service was fantastic.

Max's Restaurant @ Northern Light Inn offers casual Scandinavian dining with international twists. Just before the Blue Lagoon, 20 minutes from Keflavik International Airport KEF, 45 from Reykjavik â we hope to see you soon!
A rather small menu but understandable, made up for by the quality, the secluded feel of the hotel gave it an atmosphere to match. Good service and an excellent breakfast where salmon was plentiful! Thanks a lot for your 5 star review. We prefer to have the menu smaller so we keep the quality as fresh as we can.All the best!

LAVA Restaurant combines modern design with the wild spirit of Icelandic nature. Built into a stunning lava cliff, with views over the lagoon, it is an unforgettable setting for a relaxed lunch, a family dinner or a romantic evening meal.
My partner booked this as a surprise after the blue lagoon as an expensive treat for my birthday. We usually go away for my birthday and have always been made a fuss off when in a restaurant. No such luck at this restaurant in fact it wasn't even acknowledged. The table was in the middle of the room and should have been for 4 people. The waiter was nice enough and very pleasant. My partner really enjoyed his beef dinner. I had catch of the day which was a bit tough and rubbery. We didnt have dessert so cant comment. Overall it was ok however for the cost of a meal I'm sure there are better dining experiences.

This was our 3rd time at Salthusid ("Salthouse") and it is always good. Small dining room was pretty full by the time we left. Excellent garlic langoustine appetizer and salmon.I wasn't as hungry and had the burger which was quite good for Iceland, where burgers can be hit or miss!

Stopped here for lunch on tour around the peninsula.Lovely lobster soup, a little salty but that didn't stop me having a second helping (free refill). There is a small bar area on the ground floor with outside seating but go upstairs for a better view and more food options, looks like its used as en entertainment venue as well.Good service.

Beef soup for me and basil sandwich for my husband. Both were super yummy! So glad we stopped here before the lagoon. Very cute little place located inside a mini mart.
