Great meal. Immediately sat us in the beautiful courtyard surrounded by wisteria, grape arbors and vinca. Chilled gazpacho, steak cooked to perfection (per my husband) and the most delicious mixed salad with fresh greens, strawberries, mango, watermelon, honeydew, pomegranate seeds, clementine slices, sunflower seeds and a light citrus dressing. And the bread! Greily (originally from Miami!) seated us and continued to check in with us all evening. She was superb. I did not catch our waitresses name, but she was wonderful (sorry!). We will return when we are back on this lovely little gem of an island.

Its not just a store selling smoked fish snd seafood but its also a restaurant that serves sandwiches and ice cream. Well placed close to the ferry terminal and easy access for purchases before departure. Warm and great service with a smile.

Landbogaarden is a Cultural Center, Restaurant and Music Venue in the heart of the fairy town Ãrøskøbing. Started in 1919 by Michael Fuglsang Mikkelsen, currently run by Keld Fuglsang Mikkelsen, his son Jacob and Jacob's girlfriend Gertrud Hjelm Kongshøj.
Gertrud and Jakob feel like they run this restaurant because they really care about the people they serve and want to feed them with love. The spidskÃ¥l (Danish cabbage) that was part of our Greek-inspired meatball (or frikadeller) platter was amazing, although it was outdone by the rødgrød med eller uden fløde (dessert fruit porridge with or without cream) served after the meal. The selection of dishes is not large, but everything from the soup and bread with a family recipe for aioli to the dessert was excellently executed. It was also wonderful to have local features like the Ãrø potatoes and beer from Rise Bryggeri, just a few kilometres away. The service was attentive and personable - and it was amazing to get a glimpse into Jakob's artistic and political history. Thanks for the kind words Laura! :-)

The restaurant is located directly on the waterfront in Marstal, Aero. - Right at the old ferry berth. The view is outstanding over the sea. You can see all the way to Langeland and some of the smaller islands. On the terrace you can watch the ships' entry
Since Marstal is the biggest town on the island, we thought it would be easy to find a restaurant for lunch. After asking 2 people we found this one. We both had the burger which was very large and came with all sorts of toppings - onions, cheese, tomato, pickle, etc. we also ordered some frites. All in all a nice place for lunch. There was only one waiter and he did his best to serve the 5 tables that we occupied. A free parking lot is close by,
