You could expect high variety of food from Japanese to European and Russian. They also provide business lunch, where you can have lunch for affordable prices. Never had bad experience here. Always good food

In Russia it's traditional to take people out on your birthday instead of the other way around. Although usually this compels me to hide inside and spend all day thanking people for their Facebook birthday wishes, this year I took my wife and her parents out to Vasnetsov, a pre-revolutionary themed restaurant in downtown Kirov. Everyone was impressed with the interior of the restaurant, the extensive menu, the friendly wait staff and the presentation of the food. It is a real gem in a big city with few fine dining options. The total bill for four people who had a first and second course plus dessert and drinks ended up being 5,700 rubles before tip, a bargain by Moscow standards. Dining is casual although I wouldn't say tourists make up a significant percent of the clientele. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kirov for 2 nights and ate breakfast included in our stay along with lunch one day and dinner another. The breakfast buffet is very good with typical Russian breakfast fare, but there are even foods prickly Americans might eat. There are hot breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage and porridge along with cold vegetables, fruits, cereals, yogurt and juices. The lunch and dinner items were a combination of more European fare along with traditional Russian fare. We had the Chicken Quiche, Beef Stroganoff, Borsch, Pelmini, Vegetable Chicken Salad, Dumpling Soup and Fettuccine with Tomato Sauce. Each and every item was delicious and the presentation was that of a five star restaurant. Our daughter had the Cheesecake with Ice Cream for desert and it was spectacular. If you enjoy beer the local Kirov Beer is very good. After having two for dinner I had to go to the supermarket to get some to take home. Our main dinner which included three entries, three non-alcoholic drinks, two beers, bread and a desert was very inexpensive. Of course at the time of this review the ruble to dollar rate 65 rubles to $1 is very good.
