The ambience is Moldovian with food wine and handicrafts and the two ladies running around taking orders and serving the guests .Food was good but service was bad .They are understaffed and over worked with all group tours heading to this spot making the owners heady .We had to wait for 15 minutes despite seeking every ferw minutes our bill to pay .Even while we were waiting we saw a guy from a group giving up on waiting cutting and taking bread and helping himself he just couldn't resist waiting any more !

This Moldovan restaurant has got a nice traditional styling. The only problem: I was the only guest. The girl at the bar was very kind, but asl busy with her smart phone and the waiter served in an easy way. The fried eggplant starter is very good - too much for one person. A dish on it's own. The bread is delicious. Specially the dark bread. The stewed pork with home baked potatoes is tender and tasteful. The only problem is the use overload of fat. It was just bit too greasy. The beer and bread helped a bit to digest. Good to knwo the restaurant has got small separate areas for groups of guests to have some privacy.

Attention! In a heart of Chisinau opened a new restaurant - "Beraria ChiÅinÄu"! This is an excellent combination of the "classical British" and old Chisinau styles. Exclusive beer you will not find anywhere else in the city, and its rich heady flavor is a
Atmospheric, comfy and delicious. Pleasant interior, soft lighting and big tables. We were served by a pretty guy named Vladimir, which was very confident and made us happy with the level of service. Weâve ordered fried carp fish with corn based traditional dish named âmamaligaâ. All the dishes were amazingly cooked by the Chief. The food was very delicious, beautifully served and the plates were very big.

We very much enjoyed our Sep 13 dinners. We had chicken and pork main courses, shared a rustic salad and had traditional baked apples for dessert. The recommended white wine paired well with the dishes. Service was positive, friendly and efficient. Pricing was fair. There was live, local musical entertainment nearby. We enjoyed the music from a distance. Lastly, the decor included interesting painted or stenciled art work on the walls. Very interesting, attractive and a good touch. Easy 5 star recommendation.

There's several La Placiente restaurants in town and I don't know if the service and quality differs. However, the one further west of the Triumph Arch at the main street is really good for lunch. The restaurant is big and there's quite a big terrace outside ss well. We chose to sit outside, but had to go inside looking for a waiter in order to get served. It's very busy during lunch time, so don't expect a fast service. However, as we'd placed our order it didn't take that long before we got our food. They have an inexpensive set business lunch menu changing from day to day. The menu is good as there's picture of the meal, so even if it's not in English you know what to expect. All the dishes are Moldavian traditional ones and it can never go wrong. I wouldn't necessarily choose this place for a dinner, but for lunch it can really be recommended.

La Taifas means Moldovan traditional experience. Moldovan rustic food, traditional design and good quality service are our greatest prize for you. Grandmother's cheese pie is the dish you will want to eat here along with local meat dishes or vegetarian fr
We wanted to have an amazing culinary experience but the food was just regular. They have no natural light, nor terrace, so this was an inconvenient for us. The service was nice and the atmosphere pleasent. You can find better places...

La Placinte is a chain restaurant, and the vibe is casual, with a mostly local clientele. Located near the cathedral, the restaurant is huge, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu has little English, but every item has a photo to assist ordering. The food was excellent, far better than Americans would expect from a chain restaurant. We began with two appetizers. I wasnât entirely sure what âfasole butataâ was, but it was tasty (40 leu). We then each had excellent salads (salata vitamina, 40 leu; salata âChisinauâ, 55 leu). That would have been enough food, but we had also ordered entrees. My beef stroganoff (95 leu) was different than expected (served over roasted potatoes instead of noodles) but as excellent. My partner enjoyed the grilled pork chop (120 leu). With three beers, the total was only 461 leu (around $27).If you donât need elegant ambiance, this restaurant is an excellent choice.
