This restaurant has been one of my favorites but the service was not good and we went before the lunch rush. There was plenty of help in but they were just waiting around. Then our food came and it was not the quality I expected.

Taqueria Mexicana has delicious homemade salsas. We stopped for lunch, so ordered simple items from their menu: tacos and a tostada. They were very good, and not overloaded with cheese like chain Mexican restaurants. The beans on the tostada were delicious - definitely homemade. The meal left us satisfied.

Enjoyed dinner with hubby. Went on a Thursday night, not busy, but as others have stated the service is not fast. Seated, ordered taken, salad came, then waited close to thirty minutes for our food. If your in a hurry this is not the place to go.
Once the food came out it was delicious. Hubby got 8oz. rib eye steak and I got the chardonnay chicken, both with extra veggies, no carbs.
The atmosphere is unique. The restaurant is part of a furniture resale warehouse. Actually we thought it was cool and well done.
Check it out when your passing through.

I have had the opportunity of taking my small family to have dinner at Dad's family restaurant several times over the past year. The children enjoy their hamburgers and either cookies or ice cream after their meal. The hamburger is cooked the way I like mine and they server huge amounts of French fries with each "basket". Pretty good for the price.

We attended a special buffet service celebrating the reopening of this little restaurant in the heart of Zillah. They normally serve from a menu, but because of the official reopening they switched to a buffet featuring some of their specialties. There was even a talented local guitarist playing unobtrusive music in the background. My wife grew up in Zillah and had visited the cafe when she was a child. Because of the temporary buffet, traffic patterns in the restaurant were a bit tricky, but the food was great and the personal service was excellent. Both rare and well-done prime rib were available, as well as salmon and chicken. Baked potatoes with all the trimmings were prefect. A spinach and strawberry salad with vinaigrette, and a couple other salads were on the salad bar, and plenty of pies and cake were offered for dessert. Everything was great! This is a local place in a small town which adds a nice touch, but it draws from around the general area as well. Local wines and craft brews are featured. We're definitely planning a return visit so we can focus on the regular menu.

Had one of the special, specials. Simply wonderful! Pam told me they can't offer it often because the pumpkin has to be just right, typical of their commitment to quality! Cubes of pumpkin in the lovely curry sauce with tender chicken and other succulent veggies! Yum!

The fish tacos are not on the menu, but you can ask for them. They are wonderful. It is so fabulous having a really good Mexican restaurant that is 100% Mexican and just a few miles from me. It also makes a great place for me to send my winery customers to.

The dinner buffet is a great meal with a wide variety of dishes. There is emphasis on Mexican which isn't surprising in this part of the state. Everything was well prepared and the roast beef was some of the best I have ever eaten. Service is really sketchy. We were on the verge of asking for a refund and leaving when the hostess finally appeared to seat us. The server was a little lame, too. This is the sort of place where the food is nice but you could die of boredom waiting for something as simple as a glass of iced tea. Breakfast was somewhat limited but good.
