Fresh Organic and Delicious
Our suburban area of NY is full of many different types of cuisines with a heavy concentration of American, Italian, Japanese/Chinese and Mexican establishments. The Jewel of the Himalaya definitely provides a break from the norm with their Nepalese style fare. I like to bring colleagues visiting us for work to this restaurant because it is a bit different and also due to its convenient location, great food and comfortable atmosphere. Our local staff and our visitor really enjoyed the meal. I hadn’t remembered that they don’t have a full bar - only beer and wine - so bear that in mind if it’s important to you. The wine we chose was quite good and reasonably priced for a bottle at a restaurant. We were not rushed so had plenty of time to appreciate our meal and engage in some interesting discussions.

I am a business man who works locally and loves a good cup of expensive coffee. What I don't love is BAD service...
Long waits, staff ignores you while they chat amongst themselves..
Orders are frequently wrong..
Thinking I could avoid problems I started ordering by a Starbucks app ..did that help??? Heck NO!
Go ahead try it you'll hate it too!

Twist is located right in the heart of Yorktown Heights and has many different flavors of self serve frozen yogurt in about five or six machines, with each machine containing two different flavors. There is also a toppings bar with all your favorites, healthy and non healthy. But when you're going out for a frozen yogurt, you can afford to splurge a little and enjoy yourself. Twist us the best option in the Yorktown Heights area.

Staff of Peter Pratt's Inn could have given us a choice to have dinner in their main dining room or their patio. No one mentioned it.
We drove up from NYC to celebrate an 85th and a 63rd birthday. The main dining room has no table cloth. The patio has!
The crispy spare ribs is very good! Slightly crispy and tender meat. With the red cabbage, the mix of tastes is delicious.
My striped bass is a nice portion, served with colors. Very nicely presented! It's edges are crunchy and it's inside is juicy. A fine choice.
My guest celebrators were also happy with their lamb and duck dishes, which was most important for me. Try their Belgian waffle with diced fruit and vanilla ice cream. The waffle has a crunch to it as well. It's perfect!!!
Service is 4.5. The lady who refilled our water even asked which glass should have no ice. Attentive with my request. I'm pleased!
In NYC, when restaurants in Peter Pratt's league become aware of birthday celebrations, they give complementary dessert with a candle.
Had they sat us in the patio and added at least a candle to our Belgian waffle, I would have given them a 5.
This is a restaurant that is located about 2.5 miles east of the Taconic Parkway. Thanks to Rob LeDonne. Without his article, I would not know of Peter Pratt's Inn. It is in a residential area and there are no signs. It is hidden.
If you are not familiar with Yorktown Heights, it's advisable to dine and head for the Taconic while there is daylight.

We stopped here on our bike ride of the north county trail. The food was excellent, healthy, and sitting outside the café was lovely. Especially since we were in smelly bike clothes

There's a lot to like about Oscar's. This is the former Gaudio's Restaurant. There are some subtle changes in the look of the place, but overall, it's very much the same. The good we had was all good and surprisingly very reasonably priced. Three of the four of us had leftovers to take home. Not surprisingly, the place seems busy most of the week for both lunch and dinner. Good luck to Oscar and his staff. Off to a good start.

Whenever our party can not agree upon what to eat and where, The Yorktown Caoch Diner is the place we usually unanimously select. We can have a wide range of full course dinners, traditional comfort food, Italian, Greek, seafood,, burgers, sandwiches and breakfast selections, at anytime of the day or night. The dessert selections are outstanding. A senior menu is also offered.

Had dinner here with my family and enjoyed the food.
The burger was good, as well as the service.
Our waitress was great, and was very attentive.
They have a full bar, with a good beer selection.
Nice local place with good food and service.
Worth visiting!

We came for dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was nice and had enough parking. We had the potato pancakes as an app with applesauce, the Bavarian platter and salmon for dinner. The salmon was delicious prepared with ginger and a citrus glaze, the Bavarian platter was dull. It even looks dull. I really don't think I would return. They are know for there German food and I was not impressed especially with the high price for the food!
