In business since 2005, the Woodstock Cafe has become one of the anchor tenants of this beautiful, Shenandoah Valley, historic town. Serving excellent coffee, panini sandwiches and bountiful salads, the Cafe also features one of the best retail wine selections in the region. Open seven days per week, the Cafe offers Sunday Brunch and live music every Sunday. Gourmet wine dinners and cabaret style entertainment dinners are scheduled for select weekend evenings throughout the year. An annual selection in several categories for Virginia Living Magazine's Best of Virginia issue, the owners of the Woodstock Cafe recently added an additional Restaurant (The Other Place) adjacent to the Woodstock Cafe.
We stopped by here while visiting from out of state, only to find such a wonderfully quaint little area in downtown Woodstock. The shops have a lot of little odds and ends, gifts, oddities, and handmade specialty items. The cafe had a nice seating area that was very peaceful and charming. The food looked great and, although we didn't eat, we ordered one of their home made "apple" cookies and it was FABULOUS! The best cookie ever and we shortly wished we had bought more of these for our trip. Great place for families and couples!

I loved this little roadside stand. You got a LOT of ice cream and the prices were very reasonable. They had little tables and chairs so you could enjoy your custard outside before traveling off for more fun and adventure. The young lady working the stand is very friendly and fast.

We really lucked out when we stopped into Joe's Steakhouse for a meal after enjoying the Holiday Home Tours (of nine historic homes) in Edinburg. The service was outstanding; Kaitlyn was our server and she went above and beyond, in terms of helping us make decisions, providing two plates when my friend and I asked if we could divide our salad and entree. She was delightful. The apple salad was delicious, accompanied by warm rosemary rolls. The seafood mac & cheese was creamy, but crunchy on top- perfect! and full of shrimp, scallops, and fish. Outstanding! We also split a dessert: bread pudding. Wonderful, warm, sweet, and the perfect portion size. I will be back with my husband and family....again and again!

great ice cream in a gas station not much to say about this that would use up more than a hundred characters.

We arrived on a rainy Saturday evening and had to wait while of group of 30 plus people arrived, but as soon as they were taken care of, we were seated and our waitress came promptly to our table. A few minutes after ordering, we had the quesadilla appetizer which was ooey, gooey and filled with great tasting vegetables and chicken. For the main course, I had the very large apple walnut chicken salad which was customized for me as I do not eat raw onions. The chicken was so moist and juicy - I was totally amazed as quite often it is slightly dry and the salad as a whole was so delicious. My daughter had the Spring House steak which was cooked perfectly and quiet delicious as well.
While we were eating another large group of 20 people came in. The staff there never seemed to get bogged down as from where I sat everyone was served quickly and our water glass was never empty.

Went here with family members for a first-time experience. We loved it for lunch and would come back often. Indoor and outdoor tables, but the cold wet morning kept us inside. Have never seen a combination of a nursery store, full of garden items, and a cafe, full of cakes, before! Great idea. It made for a most tranquil experience. The service was good, and we ordered lunch which arrived quickly. We were tempted by the amazing cakes on display, but chose some delicious cookies instead. Our sandwiches were good as well. Was nice to be able to get up from the table and wander inside looking at the various retail goods. Lunch and shopping all in one! Go. Now.

After a full day of travel we stopped for the night in Woodstock, VA. When we travel we always try to eat local. While exploring the small downtown area (almost all stores were closed at 5:00) we stumbled upon a nice gem for dinner. Woodstock Brew House was a few steps from Main St., but worth the stop. The beers we chose were very good. They also had a small selection of barbecue style meals. I had the pulled pork sandwich on a great roll with sides of mac and cheese and baked beans. They were all delicious and very filling portions. If you are a local, or like us, just happening to stop in the town of Woodstock VA, check Woodstock Brew House. I think you will enjoy it as much as we did.

Do not waste your time or money. Beer was cold and waitress was nice are the only good things about it. Calamari was a pile of frozen, pre breaded overcooked junk. Wings had definitely been freezer burned and thawed in water and then cooked till all moisture was removed, leaving a dry chunk of meat on a bone with freezer taste. The salad was wilted and warm.

Arrived late in Woodstock and came across this place. Cooked us a huge veggie meal off menu, veg fajitas and lots of it - fresh, spicy and delicious. Loved it, no fuss and nothing too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely meal.
