We enjoyed a meal that was truly Outstanding, unfortunately your review only reflects up to Excellent! The meal was superb and the wait staff was attentive, cordial, and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. We've enjoyed both a brunch and dinner meal and in each case we've been more than pleased. We'd highly recommend the Bistro L'Hermitage, especially for a "special occasion." We're already ooking forward to our next visit!

After a two hour drive and a morning of shopping at IKEA, my wife and I wanted a nice breakfast but this place wasn't the restaurant for it. Our waitress messed up our order twice resulting in waiting for my food while my wife's food sat under a heat lamp but still got cold. I could hear both the table behind my wife also had incorrect orders. The Manager tried to make amends with a 10% discount and coupon for the next visit but my meal should have been comp'd. I gave the coupon to the person standing in line at the door - hopefully she had a better experience. We will never return.

Family owned and operated. Est. 2013. Serving fresh, home-made cuisine and desserts from family recipes. Secluded outdoor seating while the weather permits and cozy indoor seating by a warm fire during the colder seasons.
This well run and highly detailed cafe is truly a hidden treasure! I was caught in a traffic jam up on Route 95 and was so thrilled to find this most exceptional venue. Foodies feel free to unite at this gastronomic experience. The staff was professional and pleasant. I am a chef by trade and could not have been more pleased!!! Well done!

I always enjoy the meat lovers pizza and greek salad. The pizza is always delivered hot, and the salad is fresh. In addition, they can also deliver beer which is a change for someone looking for a one-stop location to order from during football season. I have also tried the wings and baked cheesy spaghetti with meat. The portions are large are always enough for me to save for the next day. If you decide to eat in the restaurant, it has sufficient tables to accommodate a small crowd. Great neighborhood restaurant to seek out especially when everyone might want something different.

An intimate restaurant where everyone was warm and helpful and the complimentary Afgan bread and four dips made you feel like you found your new home.
The Hot Mazza Assortment appetizer (leek ane scallion turnover; roasted butternut squash, roasted eggplant puree, and leek dumping) is excellent and almost enough for a full meal.
The Sabzi Turnover (Boulanee) were phillo dough stuffed with spinich, kale, collard green, turnip leaves, and mustard greens and cilantro with an avocado chutney allows you to get a variety of healthy greens in a very pleasing manner.
The Pumpkin Dumplings with their thin shell wrappings were wonderful, heated up the next day.
The Sheer Birinj (Afgan rice pudding with cardamon and crushed pistachios) was delicious.
The Doogh yogurt drink came in a huge plastic beer mug was very healthy and generous, but it gave me a night of smelly gas. Not recommended if you have to go back to work or a movie later or if you want to impress your date. 8-)

Stopped in here for lunch after getting off the train. We loved the variety of sandwiches and burgers. The French Dip and Reuben sandwiches were excellent. Tons of TV's if you want to watch the game. Fantastic sports memorabilia on the walls. Service was tops.

You don't have to brave the airlines to visit an authentic little European neighborhood bistro. Come down to the quaint riverfront town of Occoquan for a little boutique shopping and finish up with a visit to our cozy bistro for a fine Belgian beer and a delicious meal. We are serving up always-fresh, always-homemade European bistro specialties, a selection of 60+ Belgian and Belgian-style beers we know you'll love, and a whole lotta coziness and welcome. Are they the freshest Prince Edward Island Blue Mussels and the crispy-creamiest fresh-cut Belgian Frites? You bet! Is there a beautiful street-side brick outdoor patio? Yep, we've got that, too. No fancy frills, just great beer, wine, and good, freshly prepared food. Oh! And we forgot to mention the delicious Non-GMO waffles. But you won't...see you soon! !
I really wanted to like this place. A girlfriend and I decided to meet here for our annual July birthday lunch as somewhere quaint and different than the usual chain restaurant. She ordered one of the mussel dishes and it was good (I got a small taste). Unfortunately I opted for the asparagus and prosciutto appetizer plate and it was too salty, almost inedible for me. I told the waiter and his only response was that he could box it up and maybe later it would dry out and not be so salty! Okay. So I decided to take another chance and order the shrimp croquettes. Flavorful, but if there was any shrimp in them I certainly couldn't find it!! So for me, the food was a definite miss. But the worse part of all is, despite us telling them we were celebrating birthdays, they made no acknowledgement whatsoever. Okay, it may be cheesy when the servers come out and sing "happy birthday" to those celebrating and bring out the obligatory cupcake or ice cream, but at least the large chain restaurants try to acknowledge a special occasion! At this place, nothing. Not even a "happy birthday." Very impersonal. And oh yeah, of course they charged me for the prosciutto! Definitely won't be returning.

For an ol' Mississippi Boy, this is heaven. OUTSTANDING Southern cooking. Catfish, ribs, all the fixin's... Side dishes to write books about. Muddy fries are legendary. Pies...Pies, oh, my.
Superb wait staff.
Fast service, from the moment you walk in to the moment you finally decide you have to leave.
Good prices, large portions.
Best "Southern cooked" meal I've had in Virginia...and beats most from my home state.
Clean and BUSY... good signs for any patron. You won;t be disappointed...bet my rep on it.

Right on the River, and if you're lucky wonderful live music. Everything else was disappointing: no fancy drinks not wines, nothing local or semi healthy and the menus were sticky. Location, if being able to sit outside, does not make up for the rest.
