Casual fine dining, chef driven, local/organic fresh produce and seafood, cooked to order. Great ambiance, romantic, fun, exciting, quite an experience. We are living the American dream and a fairy tale, and want to share that with you.
My what a pleasant surprise. On our way to the beach we decided to slow down an enjoy life and did we ever. My wife found this gem on TripAdvisor and it did not let us down. So let me tell you why it gets top ratings with me. Who would expect to find this in a small down on the way down 74. ( My big city snob coming out) but also a great menu though not huge there is literally something for everyone. We sampled the she crab soup, rich and packed with everything it should have but could have used a little more punch, sherry? Maybe tad more spice but still very good. My side salad was perfect. Fresh and great portion not too much not to little. Lunch entre was spot on the chef is of Cambodian decent and i had the Cambodian beef Thai hot it was fantastic. A hint of curry great heat and the meat melted in my mouth. And in a completely opposite direction my wife had a chicken cordon blue sandwich on a ciabbat roll that was tender and flavorful. By the way a thick cut steak fry was piping hot as they should be. Who would have thunk it! The owners were very gracious and our server was a perfect gentleman. We will make plans to travel by here as often as we can and I suggest you do the same when traveling US 74 east or west. I hope to speak to the owners again and take them to my favorite restaurant in CLT when they are in town. Slow down and taste the food life is two short and this place is too good to miss.

A cross between a NY deli and a French Bistro, serving locally grown products, made to order. We also serve homemade pastries, a wide variety of coffee drinks, ice cream and milk shakes. We are located in the oldest drugstore in NC and feature the original Soda Fountain.
Love the atmosphere! Nice place to enjoy a little quite time with friends. My daughter and I love Saturday lunch at Sophie's. Salads are wonderful and so very fresh. Love the ruben. It is my favorite

This little place is not much for atmosphere, but it more than makes up with delicious breakfasts and lunches. There's a lunch special daily, serving Southern comfort food mostly. They also serve a standard fare of sandwiches made to order. In addition to this, they're also a doughnut shop, with pastries made early every morning. They're closed on Sunday and Monday, though.

For a small town this has big city appeal! I have been a fan for ages and it seems to get better with time! You could not ask for a more friendly place and the food is amazing! Anyone that lives in the area will attest to the fact that the McKeel family has the best hot dogs and hamburgers in the county!!! It is a small place but those in the know realize it is worth the wait and standing in line!

Quaint restaurant with exposed old brick walls on the inside. Antipasto salad was enough for 2. Shrimp fettuccini was very good with lots of alfredo sauce, but one of my pet peeves is being served shrimp in a sauce that still has tails on! Friendly service. Will definitely go back!

Having fresh steamed oysters is the highlight of this restaurant. While the oysters are only available in season and come from out of state, they are usually good especially early in the season. The rest of the time Dale's is an average Calabash-style fried seafood place. Fried fish, oysters, scallops, and deviled crab are the usual fare. The hushpuppies are pretty good. They do have fresh spots and croakers in season.

Franco's has, by far, the best pizza in town. A large is a real large, not what Domino's calls a large (which is the size of their former medium). They don't skimp on toppings and the service is quick & friendly. Franco's does have a few tables, but this is mostly a takeout restaurant, in my experience. Did I mention the prices are excellent, too?

The restaurant is beautiful. They also offer outdoor dining, so we decided to dine outside on this mild weathered Sunday afternoon. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was pretty swift to take our drink order. The margarita was mixed fresh and not too sweet. :). The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, probably due to our dining time. Despite that, we had slow service. However, the food was worth the wait, it was delicious and was a generous portion. We found the restaurant to be a little pricey but we did enjoy our meal. Oh if you have a toddler, make sure you take a high chair seat cover, the one placed for us seemed either very worn or not cleaned well.
