Acqua is comfortably located on the Western shore of White Bear Lake and offers seating in four relaxed dining rooms, two sheltered decks overlooking the marina, a spacious lakeside patio and cozy bar. The menu is Italian driven and Acqua Restaurant always strives to source out the highest quality local ingredients. The restaurant focuses on maintaining a warm, clean and comfortable atmosphere while offering knowledgeable and attentive service that cares.
Saturday early evening found the place not busy, but it filled up as night progressed. But, first, the entrance area could be improved. We parked in adjacent garage but lighting is poor between there and the restaurant, and an incline on the drive entry with some compacted snow made for unsure footing; we were taking an 89 year old friend out. (Determined later than there is a sidewalk and steps adjacent to garage, but lighting too poor to notice and walk poorly shoveled; I think this is a City ramp so this is not on the restaurant.) Then, we were not sure how to enter the restaurant, and this is on them. Entrance is on the garage side but no evident signage to direct us.
But the food was wonderful, and that is really why we came. The bolognese was just great and the fish specials were also. Squash soup and salads done well, too. On the expensive side, our meal for three came to $165 with 2 glasses of wine.
We were seated upstairs in the back, which was fine, except it was noisy. Would suggest adding something to help muffle sound, which just bounces off the hard surfaces.

A local hangout that is known for its casual and friendly atmosphere. This is a seasonal place that serves sandwiches, hot dogs, chips and lots of ice cream in lots of yummy flavors. There's a courtyard-looking area with table and sun umbrellas where you can sit outside.
When Cup and Cone opens each year, everyone in White Bear Lake knows that it's spring.

Enjoy a latte or cappuccino in our beautifully appointed retail bakery and coffee shop nestled amongst the quaint shops in Downtown White Bear Lake. We offer a full selection of baked goods, coffees, soups, sandwiches and one of the largest selections of glass bottled vintage sodas in the state of Minnesota.
We stopped by grandma's for just a little something after having lunch and walking around town a little. Nice assortment of goodies and reasonably priced. They do serve lunch but there is limited seating.

It is a pizzeria so expectations were modest, despite hearing positive feedback from a few friends. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the food and experience. They have the standard salads, but also several that are unique. The Sicilian salad was big and delicious. The pizzas are wood fired, and come with different seasonings to augment the normal toppings such as pepperoni, sausage, etc. They have a nice selection of tap beers and drinks - I usually don't see Kona Big Wave on tap but it is one of my favorites. Warning: it is a VERY popular place, so be prepared to wait. We arrived at 5:25 on Saturday and were able to get seated right away, but there were a lot of people waiting when we left. There is a bar to help pass the time while you wait. We will certainly visit Pezzo again.

Donatelli's features homemade pasta and sauces...featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri. Signature items include our spaghetti pie, heart stopper pizza, baked Mostaccioli with meat sauce, tortellini Alfredo and Italian jambalaya. We also have an extensive gluten free menu. Dine-in, take-out, delivery and catering...full service receptions, grad parties, funerals and more.
Loved the Baked Mostaccioli with italian sausage. They have a modest wine list but it did have a nice cabernet sauvignon. Service was very attentive. Donatelli's is always busy so be prepared for a short wait for a table/booth. The decor is quite casual but the food makes up for it.

Bear Town Bar and Grill has been a fixture in White Bear Lake for over 15 years. Its specialties include broasted wings, burgers and pizzas. The menu also contains many sandwiches and wraps, dinners, appetizers and salads. Bear Town also serves a full breakfast menu every Saturday and Sunday. Delivery and take out are also available. A large outdoor seating area and many television to watch your favorite sporting events. Reservations can be taken in the dining area for up to 50 people. Pull tabs are also available. It is happy hour all day every day at Bear Town and the daily specials cannot be beat.
We frequented here because of the location and it's a laid-back atmosphere which we like but the staff can be really moody and when they raised their prices it just wasn't realistic for what you received (food, value, service...).

Lovely October day, warm enough for patio dining. They have a very nice outdoor space, enjoy it if you can. We had a chicken sandwich and a chicken Caesar wrap. Both were very good..Cole slaw was good and creamy, fries were hot and crispy. Restaurant was pretty full, but our food still came out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive.

We were greeted and seated promptly. Server came to greet us quickly as well. The three of us all ordered steak sandwiches medium rare with fries. One came medium rare, one came medium, one came well done. Fries were under cooked and limp. One member of our party ordered a cup of soup and asked that it be served prior to receiving the steak sandwich. It was not. And it was not served with the steak sandwich, she had to ask for it. Once we got our food, our server never once came back to check on us. I asked another staff member for a water refill, she said okay, but we never got that. I finally got up and went to the area where they keep their pitchers of water and served myself and the rest of my party. I've been to Key's before and enjoyed it, however, this trip was really disappointing. For one person in our party, it was her first experience and Key's ...I highly doubt she will want to return.

My wife and I really enjoyed our trip to the Orchid restaurant. I had the curry chicken, she had the orchid chicken salad, both served in a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff was super friendly. A little bit out of the way unless you are going to the nearby theater, but well worth the effort to get here!
