Ate here for the first time. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was a pretty good size. The pizza was not bad but the sauce was too sweet and the pizza was greasy. I have had better pizza. My brother and my son got the spaghetti and one very big meatball. It also came with garlic bread. They both said it was good but that the sauce was too sweet and that they would not need to come back. We also ordered cheese sticks. I could not eat them because they had way too much Parmesan Cheese on them.

Upperline Restaurant is New Orleans, LA's local haven where tasty Louisiana cuisine, serious wine, and Creole hospitality is always served.
While we have been to NOLA many times over several decades this was our first trip to Upper Line.
Reservations have to be made by phone, where the owner informs you that they are not in the Quarter and you can’t walk to the restaurant and it is a cab ride away. Then she tells you that you can eat at 6:15p.m or 8:30p.m., even though you want to make a reservation weeks in advance. She is a successful institution in NOLA and she apparently couldn’t care less whether she attracted new customers or not.
It is pre fixed menu and well priced for (3) courses. Three in our party had Fried Green Tomatos with Shrimp Remoulade which everyone enjoyed. Three of us had the veal Grillades which were excellent but a microscopic portion. One of us had the Rack of Lamb and three of us had the Sundae Eugene and I had Irish coffee.
It was very good meal but hardly worth all the fuss and a taxi ride. As we were leaving regulars were greeting the owner as if she were Julia Child herself.

I had the salted caramel and turtle ice cream and it was delicious! There was a line in the shop and it is cash only but we were not disappointed. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy and the prices were reasonable. I would go back again.

Meh. We thought the chocolate would be like a cream or something inside the pastry, but instead the entire thing was as like chocolate powder mixed with the flour. It was okay, I suppose, but not exciting. Don’t see the attraction, considering how many kinds of pastries there are.

Shaya is an innovative restaurant with a warm and welcoming approach to the dining culture inspired by Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli upbringing. Chef Alon sees modern Israeli food as a grand mosaic, drawing influence from North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece. The food of Alon's heritage represents a country rich in diversity of cuisine and culture, inspired by years of tradition while also looking to its contemporary future. The menu at Shaya reflects the ongoing evolution of Israeli food, while celebrating the abundance of Louisiana and Alon's close relationships with local farmers, which he has fostered through his ongoing work with the Crescent City Farmer's Market. In keeping with the the ethos of all of the Besh restaurants, Shaya uses seasonal, responsibly- and locally-sourced ingredients.
Fabulous food! We went for lunch and tried small plates of pickles, tabouleh, brussel sprouts. All were excellent. Tried 2 different hummus the asparagus and tahini again both excellent. Split the chicken schnitzel sandwich and again excellent. Hot fresh cooked pita ...coming out constant..delicious!
We did get dessert..actually tried 3 and sorry to say they all missed the mark. But did not really care as all the other food was outstanding!
Enjoy!

Multi time visitor to NOLA and have seen this shop many times. Decided to stop for bread and sweets and was not disappointed. Beautiful croissants, a wide variety of breads, and amazing cookies. Getting some to take back to Wisconsin before we leave!

Mission To provide our guests with a meticulously selected and unexpectedly diverse assortment of perfectly ripe cheeses, charcuterie, and gourmet grocery items. Our menu has been carefully built with contemporary and European style sandwiches, salads and cheese-centric items to please all types of food lovers.
Great little afternoon stop for my wife, my daughter and me. I had the Lomo Bocadillo which was very nice. My wife had the Il Mostro, which was really really good. I preferred hers. My daughter had the rustic grilled cheese with bacon added. A little heavy, but it was pretty decent. They have a good Bloody Mary and a great local craft beer selection. The restaurant itself is cute. We sat outside just because it was a pretty day out but the inside decor and setup is inviting also. The prices are moderate-high so be prepared to spend $12+ on just your sandwich. It’s worth it though. Pickle plate had some great variety and flavors, highly recommend. Really great service. Great experience over all. We’ll be back!

It’s a small place with a BIG presence. Few things to know: they don’t take rezzys - look for the clipboard outside, and stay close. The wait goes pretty fast. And: the daily specials are on the butcher paper roll inside. Service is friendly and mostly efficient. Oh, and the food is fantastic!

For something so simple (and you can get a lot of places) it was just "meh" for me. While the snow ball was tasty, we wait over an hour just to get one. They didn't have enough people working to move them out faster. Our Uber driver told us that the locals favorite snow ball place is a little red, white, and blue stand that doesn't even have a name or address. I feel like it's a little over hyped.

Were able to secure last minute Valentine dinner reservation. As native New Orleanian, this is one of my favorite places. Even thought it was a busy night, the waitress was extremely attentive and considerate of the timing of the course service.
Two of us had the 'Shell Beach' seafood platter, Veal Parmesan and Scallops.
Along with oyster chowder, scallops, salads and dessert.
It was an amazing meal and evening. And the Frank Brighsten, made a pass through the restaurant, greeting the patrons, which was a very nice touch.
A New Orleans gem, that everyone should vist.
